You have to submit a statement along with your 1040 tax return explaining the situation. You can write something like:

Line 21 "other income"

Error amount $xxx (amount your boss reports)

Less error amount $x (amount she borrowed and repayed you)

Net to line 21 $xx (amount you actually earned).

That way you won't overpay taxes, it'll also put a red flag on her return. Chances are you (or both you and her) will get audited but they are highly unlikely since you're probably not making too much and IRS is not too interested in your case.

Thank you! It was pretty busy and crowded since a lot of people were waiting for their oath letters. It took me almost 2 hours to get mine.

I've been also waiting for almost 2 months, but in my opinion it is not unsual and nothing to worry about. You gotta look not at the average nationwide waiting time but at the statistics for your particular office. I live in Houston and based on other VJ members' timelines it's pretty clear that average time is 2+ month for an inverview to be scheduled here, perhaps it's the same for your office. Some offices are just bigger/slower/busier than others for whatever reason, that's all, no need to worry

By the way I also made a service request, around 2/5, got an automated response saying to expect a reply by 3/5 but I never got it.

Got an email saying my card was approved on 2/24 and in production now woohoo! Finally!

Also my transfer date was later changed to 11/18.

Lol lol...sometimes all you guys make me laugh... I was in Mexico last month and went to Aruba last week with my letter because my gc is expired. To go to Mexico, you will never need to show a gc or any letter, the same for Aruba ( or England, France, Italy, wherever), you will need a valid passport from where you were born or citizen. You will need the gc or the letter when you will get in the USA plus a valid passport. Let's stop saying things that you dont know. Vixi mariaaaaa..Jesus Cristo!

I went to Mexico mulpitle times before, each time they looked at my passport and since i'm required to have a mexican visa to enter they did ask me for a green card. So let's stop laughing and stop thinking that your case applies to everyone, we are all from different countries and have different visa requirements. And on top of that it really just depends on an officer at the border.

That is not correct. We went to Cancun, Mexico last month and the extension letter was enough, no visa.

On their consulate website it says they need an actual card but it's good to know they'll accept the extention letter.

Our first choice for traveling was Aruba, which is Netherland territory, but when i called their consulate they said they won't accept the letter, so had to go to Mexico instead..

It does matter to me! Many countries require a visa for tourists but they would waive this requirement if you have a green card. Not a status of a resident, an actual card. So now i have to get a mexican visa to go there for a beach vacation!

Hey guys,

I know we are all pissed about the delay in processing, on the other hand, does it really matter? We have an extension which is still valid, we can travel out of the country and come back in, the only snag being we'll be delayed at POE for some time for further verification etc...

On the bright side, come end of May/early June we all get to start filing for our citizenship so as far as am concerned this removal of condition is just another money raising gimmick and a redundant process. So relax, enjoy and the card will come whenever it comes. Que Sera Sera!!!
