  1. Is the arrest like a big bust?or just in the precinctin her town? How many days or months was she on jail? was there a trial? Because if not, I don't think it is a big deal. It prolly won't show up in the police clearance and NBI clearance. I know a some peole who had used marijuana when they were young and was able to migrate to the US.

Hope things will work out for you. But I don't think it would be a big issue if it happened long time ago.

Oh one more thing, I know someone who actually said yes to have had used drugs on the interview and he got denied, all of his family migrated except him.

  2. Update on the status of my visa sent via Deutsche post....it hasn't arrive yet! been checking my mailbox so many times during the day. Finally called the consulate again today and asked, they gave me a tracking number and when I checked on the status, it says...the recipient has been notified to pick up the item on the post office. #######? I didn't get any!!!! So called Deutsche post, gave them the tracking number and other infos...spent almost 30 minutes on the phone just to get an info as to where I need to go to get my mail because the lady can't speak english that well. Anyways, we went to the post office right away but it was close!!! I feel like I'm cursed or something! I am really nervous right now because the german post already lost my passport before which delayed this visa process. SO tomorrow ( fingers crossed) I will have my visa in hand and this nightmare will be over....HOPEFULLY!

  3. God News Good News !!!!!!

My hubby received a text message from consulate that his visa is processed and will be couriered to him today.

Later an email from VFS also confirmed that his passport is handed to Blue Dart courier services for delivery....

    3 weeks in AP !!!!

Thanks Lord Jesus and Mother Mary....

All out there in AP.... my sincere prayers and wishes to you all.... I know how it feels to be in AP.... but Prayer is power and its been proved in my life again and again...

Probably. Did they ask for your resume or academic details? did they retain your passport.

My husband's passport was retained and they asked for his resume, research papers etc...

Well, his AP is finally over today. 3 weeks in AP..

Hang in there... everything will get sorted.

Awww that is great, happy for you. Hopefully there will be good news for me soon :-)

  4. All i know is, if everything is ok, they can print off the visa the next day and send it 2 to 3 days later but they will tell you after the interview when to expect it, in mine they said in 2 wks but it's different in every country, I only have experience is Phil USEM and Frankfurt Consulate....maybe it's being put on administrative processing, if it is it could take longer.

  5. Thank you so much for the tips you guys. I already booked @ Qatar airways and after reading all the replies here, we called again last night and requested for a bassinet, the agent my husband spoke to was very helpful, he actually change our seat number and put us on the bulkhead seat. We also asked about umbrella stroller and he said I could bring it and don't have to check it in, they will just take it when you board. Hubby said it would be a good idea to bring one that if I need a break from carrying the baby I can put her in it and at the same time my 4 yrs old can use it if she gets tired. Flight time is 15 hrs( 5hrs munich to DOHA then 10 doha to cebu.phils)/ 18 hrs total travel time. I will definitely keep your tips in mind.

  6. How old is the infant- will you have a seat for them (if you can afford it, it's well worth it! Makes travel so much easier!)? Generally, I would recommend the front, so you can get off quickly. If infant is very young, request a bulkhead seat with a bassinette, so the baby can lay in there.

If the baby doesn't have its own seat, and the plane has three seats in a row, reserve the window and aisle seats for you and the older child; if the plane isn't full, it is unlikely the middle seat will be taken and you'll have a free seat for baby- if it is full, the passenger in the middle seat will be glad to move.

Check the stroller- if you even bring one- and carry infant in a baby carrier, it is easier to maneuver around airports and run if you are late.

Breastfeed baby on take-off and landing if you can, else bottle or pacifier. Buy some new toys for the older child, hide them away until the trip.

my baby is 7 months old...she would be on my lap, can't afford to buy a ticket for her to have a seat.

    thank you for the tip.
