i have my SSN already and it says allowed to work only with DHS authorization. but i saw that k1 visa holder are allowed legally to work even without DHS autorization/ EAD. here's the link http://policy.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0110211530 my name in SSN is still my name before marriage and i will return to SSA office to have it change with my husband surname and hopefully i can get to correct it "allowed to work".

correct! priveleges has limitations, one of which is the application for driver's license which you have to wait for your AOS/ green card

i think it will take time for me to have a driver's license and just need to wait for the green card

yes thats why i get SSN first before applying for driver's license, but the officer told me that I-94 should be valid for 60 days. 60 days valid I-94 is really impossible, to get SSN alone takes time. (sigh)

i went to DMV today (june 8) to get a drivers license and the officer didnt let me to have the test (application) because my I-94 will expire on july 10 and it says that it should be valid for 60 days, please help! i want to have driver's license already and my point is, it is impossible to be at DMV with a 60 days valid I-94 beacause k1 visa I-94 are only valid for 90 days and before applying you need to have SSN. to apply SSN u need to wait for 2 weeks and another 2 weeks or longer (processing times) to have your card so it take a month or longer. any other options? aside from waiting for the permanent card because we havent yet filed for the change of status.

ye i was trying to booked for an appointment interview, but when i retrieve/modify my application and go to the caalendar it only shows the calendar of february and a pop up says "no more seats available and at the bottom "application error, and i cant also view the march calendar because of the said pop up. i call the US embassy several times with different operators of course they said that there is really no available slot, my concern is ive been reading so may post here in visajourney and they said there are still slots for march. i dont know if there is really an error in my application because i cant view the calendar of march. im stucked with the feb calendar and it always say no more seats availble i assume because im in the feb calendar but why cant i view the march? help please i really want to be sched this march

hi everyone, im a filipina.. i already paid at BPI for the apointment interview for k1 visa, but my problem is i cant have myself scheduled for the month of march, i already have an application (where i have my password and UID so i can check or login anytime i want in the ustraveldocs.com) but when im about to choose an interview date through online it always says "no more seats available, what will i do? will i wait til they post schedule dates for march? help please,
