yes I did and its approved. My GC is in mail since may 27th. I dont know when it will arrive. any one know How long it takes to actually card arrive in mail after USCIS send the email that your card is mailed?
I am in NJ too.
Can I travel with the approval letter, even if I didnot receive actual card?
Hello Pascal:
I received my card yesterday.
Here's my time-line for receiving card.
May 24 - AOS Interview.
May 24 - Card production ordered(online status).
May 27 - Card production ordered again (REPEATED UPDATE same online status). USCIS mailed my card on May 27 (I read that on envelope stamp).
May 31- Approval letter received (postal mail letter).
May 31 - Online status moved/jumped BACK to POST-DECISION status (saying we have approved the application).
June 02 - Physical Card Received by mail.
I have heard (and it happened in my case): WHENEVER the online status moves/jumps back to POST-DECISION ACTIVITY from CARD-PRODUCTION, they mail
your card before that. So, for my case they mailed my card between second card production update and when status went back to post-decision activity.
So, as soon as your online status goes BACK to Post-decision Activity, you will get your card in 2-3 days.

I finally got an e-mail saying, "My Green Card has been ordered" and I will
receive it within 30 days.
I feel very much in peace and relieved.

My AOS interview went great. Only 10 minutes.
They APPROVED me.
After 15 months, I am very happy and very relieved..I was very nervous before that.
They asked basic questions from I-485 applications like full name, SSN, date of birth.
He also wanted to see my divorce cerificate... luckily, I had that.

Good info please safe a copy to attach to your citizenship application in the near future. Lot of officers got confused about the 3 year rule for VAWA.citizenship.pdf

To inpeace or anyone. I know it is kind of weird, I'm not sure why I didn't get a prima facie. The last letter I got from them said that they are waiting for another file from a different office and my case may take little longer than usual. Also I'm in removal or maybe when my lawyer sent the case to Vermont she forgot to include my marriage license wit it until 2 weeks later and I was very mad about that, but i have the receipt said they received my case in sept. 1st. I hope there is nothin wrong

And thanks for the info about my I-485, because I was a lil worried, on my approval notice it reads "the petition indicate that you are in the United states and will apply for adjustment of status. You should contact your local jacks office to obtain form I-485" so am hinking they don't transfer my old I 485. Did your approval notice say anything like that.

My VAWA approval notice says, they will let me know once they have made decision on my I-485.
It was linked because I sent VAWA and I-485 together.

From what I understand they only ask you question from the I-485 which are based on your background. No No should be the correct answer. However, I read that some folks are being asked about their spouse.
-Are you still married to your spouse?
-Where did you last live with your spouse?
-Do you have any children with your spouse?
-If divorce what condition was the divorce based on?
Other Questions may be...
-What is your name?
-What is date of Birth?
-Country of birth?
-When did you last enter the country and how?
I must say that 90% of the interviews I read about was only I-485 yes or no answers.
Alternatively,
I received my Approval notice in the mail for I-360, but I did not get an email or mail about my I-485 being transferred to NBC which has being pending since July 2010. I went to my I-130 alone and asked the officer to transfer my i-485 to VSC. Should I call customer service? or just wait....

MURID Regarding your Question:
I received the letter saying that my case is transferred to NBC after 5 business days
from getting VAWA approval e-mail. VAWA approval e-mail on March 11 and NBC-transfer letter on March 17.
It was my first and only I-485.
I will recommend wait atleast 5 to 10 business days.

Hi Guys,
This is driving me crazy! I applied for my travel document (meaning I sent out the paperwork) for the I131 on April 4, 2011. It got approved yesterday! How come it only took them 2 weeks to approve my I131, but It's almost been 2 months since I applied for my I-765 and I have not recieved biometrics from them or anything?!
I guess these people really want me to leave the country ASAP lol....
AAAAARGGGHHH! I might admit myself to the mental hospital... I'm so tiered of all this slacking off... I wish I could march right up to them and look them in the eye and scream from the top of my lungs..: Either approve me, or deny me... but don't leave me in Limbo... My whole life is on hold because of these people!!!!!
Anyways, just wanted to vent out a little... hope all is well with the rest of you... and I pray to God that we all see some sort of light soon in this very dark and depressing journey...

Dont worry!! It will be over soon.
They will approve your VAWA in May, 2011. Since, you applied on April 2010.
I have noticed most cases that go outside 7-8 months gets approved on 13-14 month.
After VAWA is approved, NBC process things very fast.

Can someone please reply where can I call or email to request them to look into my case? my case is not touched since I filed..!!
I have never called or e-mailed VSC.
But, you will find some e-mails and phone numbers when you will Google "USCIS VAWA hotline"
Also, if you have received Prima Facia Determination, Dont worry Vermont takes time.
And some people get a lot of touches and some dont (it is confusing).

2. Also, after how many days from the day your case got transfered to NBC they contacted you for interview ????

hey guys!!!its been almost 10 days since i passed my I360 interview.the IO told me to wait for the decision by mail.the lady was very nice.basically asked me questions on 485 yes/no.total 10 minutes interview.my case status is still the same on the web page,testing and interview((( just wonder how long for the desicion?

Such Awesome news! At least some people are going somewhere you know... It has been over 4 years for me being in immigration limbo.. Haven't gone home in 4 years.. my dying grandmother keeps calling me and asking me if I am ever going to go see her before she dies... Why do I get the feeling that USCIS has my file in a stack in a corner somewhere lost and collecting dust... ?
I am begining to lose hope.. I know I should be strong, but sometimes.. I feel weak.. like today... May God be with us all... -

you should expect interview, first the A file has to transfer to your local office that will take month or two. Once the file is transfered then Officer will ask foir the visa number fron NVC and same time interview letter will be issued. You will be submitting Physical exam as well as the I 485 biometric if you have not done yet.

Congrats. On your approval.I think the next process is to have an interview for your I-485. In your timeline it looks like your case took one year to be approved which is not that bad. Could you tell us what kind evidences you had I mean for abuse, good faith marriage and good moral character as well. Your reply will be appreciated. Thanks

I sent state clerances for good moral character, letters/affidavits from friends, etc.
Hospital paper.
Combined bank statements, proof of living together, pictures, marriage certificate.

1. If you have to travel urgently - Try getting an INFOPASS appointment. And take your approval letter with you,
they will give you a temporary stamp. This will be a prove that you are permanent resident when you come back to US.
Also,
2. I think you should wait for 2-3 days and call the number (get the number from CARD PRODUCTION BUBBLE IN ONLINE STATUS).
They must have mailed your card on or around May 27. Because application remains in card-production-state TILL the card is physically mailed to the applicant.
