  1. true, no visa delivery fee she will get her visa 1 week after interview.

How about IR/CR visa applicants? Will the delivery charge be included in IV bill or still need to pay after interview approval just like before?

  2. I want to book a 2-way december flight for me, husband, son (and 1-way for my daughter from manila) and cheapoair has good deals but how reliable is this? Are they going to issue e-ticket and send it to email address? How safe is your card with them? Anyone who's booked flights with them, please share. Thank you.

  3. They will stay 6 weeks. As a Filipina both your spouse and your children can avail the "Balikbayan Privilege" and stay up to one year without a visa.

I see. Thank you. Do you think the immigration officer will ask for the return ticket? I'll buy only one-way ticket for me and my son to Manila and purchase our (and my daughter's) return ticket to US from there.

Doesn't the hubby have to be traveling WITH the pinay wife to get a balikbayan 1 year visa?

I'm pretty sure if child only has US passport then they will have to get a extension if staying for more than 21 days

Yes, he has a US passport. So does that mean, we'll have to apply for extension?

  4. @Joydee-- she used ROSEDILLA when she applied for a passport 2 years ago (that's the only time she knew that her name was mispelled) so I don't think she can correct it now to ROSIEVILLA since she doesn't have any documents on that name except my and my sisters birth certificates.

@happyblessedme-- what did the lawyer advised you to do? Can you please share? Thanks.

  5. I plan to petition my mother once i become a us citizen..the problem is her name's spelling on her birth certificate is different on mine. Her name on BC is Rosedilla while on mine it's Rosievilla. I used the correct name on my documents. Is there any other documents acceptable by USCIS? I think mispelled name is very common in Philippines as I had the same problem with my own name but it was corrected and annotated by NSO but I know I can't give this reason to USCIS. Thanks.

  6. The biologic parent usually signs. I doubt your sister (the applicant's aunt) can sign.

Oh ok, thanks. I thought she could send the package with her signature on it directly to NVC but I guess I'll ask her to just send me the requirements and I'll sign the form. Thanks again.

  7. Who signs for the 3 yr old child's documents? Like DS-230 and DS-3032. She's still in Manila and my husband filed her petition and is now in CSC. Can my sister sign them? The IV package will be sent directly from Manila to NVC..Thanks.

  8. Hey sorry to hear that and goodluck to the next one. Anyway, I just wanted to ask how you scheduled yourself for an interview? Did you pay first or can you call anytime for appointment. My mother will apply for a tourist visa to US and I thought since there are many non-immigrant visa applicants, it would be better to call now so she can have an October slot. What are the requirements when you called? Thanks.
