  1. Hi,

I am going through the exact same thing as you are. We have been calling the consulate reguarly (every week or twice a week) since we submitted all the documents. I know it takes more than a month because we submitted our documents in august, and it will be a month tommorrow. I have been calling the department of state here (back in the US) and they just tell me that your visa is still under "process". It really is frustrating! I dont know what else can be done.

  2. Hello, I just needed some advice. My fiance had her K1 fiancee interview at the US embassy in New Delhi and was issued a white colored 221G. I think a week before the interview she went to VFS to deposit items but the lady working there only took 2 pages of our phone records which we had 300 pages of, she said the embassy only needs two pages, also only took like 2 pages of emails, she did not take any of the affidavits from my fiancees family members stating the engagement took place and that they approve she will be marrying in the united states, she also did not take the engagement pictures, my families notarized letters stating the engagement took place and that they approve nor did she take both of our letter of intents, airline tickets, or the letter from the hotel where our engagement took place.I have been to India 2 times after my engagement, I am thinking the CO did not have enough time to review our case and at the end she issued a 221G white slip requesting the following:

1 Notarized explanation from you and your petitioner of how and when you first met and why you decided to get engaged.

2 List of all engagement ceremony guests, their relationship to you, their addresses and their phone numbers.

3 Itemized emails and/or postmarked letters or cards between you and your fiancee.

4 Photos of you and the petitioner before, during, and after your engagement.

5 Notarized statement signed by the applicant's parents discussing their views of the engagement.

6 Notarized copy of your fiancee's passport.

7 Voter's ID card and Voter's list for the past 5 years of the beneficiary.

We have all of the documents mentioned and will be submitting them to the VFS along with the passport on Monday, can anyone tell me from there experience how long it takes for the embassy to process everything and issue the visa, and what the embassy process is, do they call the beneficiary for a 2nd interview or do they just place the visa in the passport if they are satisfied with the submitted documents.

i am also going thru the same problem as yours. i had my interview last month in delhi embassy and was issued 221g white form. i have submitted all the required documents with my passport 2 weeks back at VFS. since then, i am regularly checking my status on vfs website. it always says that "its in process"

dont know how long it will take. but its for sure that they wont ask for another interview. my delhi contact num is 9312304560 in case u want to talk and discuss.

  3. Is that for sure that they do not make a decision in less than a month. When we submitted all the docs they asked for we submitted everything, I MEAN EVERYTHING, if not more than what they wanted. It is frustrating that the Embassy does this to people and makes people with legitimate cases wait to be with there loved ones. Is there anyone else out there who has gone through this.

yes i am also going thru the same problem as yours. i had my interview last month in delhi embassy and was issued 221g white form. i have submitted all the required documents with my passport 2 weeks back at VFS. since then, i am regularly checking my status on vfs website. it always says that "its in process"

dont know how long it will take.

  4. My I-129F petition got approved on 31st March 2011

Got NOA2 hard copy as well.

Recieved letter from NVC mentioning the NVC case num.

Called NVC, they said that they have sent the file to the US Embassy in beneficiary's country.

    Now my question is:

1.) how would i know whether the embassy has recieved it? (emailed them 2 days back asking them the same thing, but no reply as yet)

2.) can i (beneficiary) straight away go to the embassy to collect the duplicate copy of Packet 3?

3.) can i pay the visa fee right now (without any letter from embassy) and schedule an appointment for interview?

Thnx for the answers in advance.

  6. On March 28, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

It has been long 6 months, but finally!!! Too bad we have ordered a ticket for a visit :D Wish you luck my september filers!!!!

I was wondering if u saw that message in USCIS website... coz lot of people say that they change the status once in a month and that too in the mid of the month....

    anyways... congratulations to u..

my NOA1 is 21st sep... i hope to see some news soon

  7. I am also in the same boat... Completed 6 months and 8 days today... No NOA2 as yet...

I called USCIS 11 days back. They said they are working on 11th sep date and we should get some reply within next 10 days. Or if we dont hear anything within 10 days then call back USCIS for the update.

I called USCIS again yesterday. The lady told me that they are still working on 11th sep date.

I dont know why they have stuck on 11th sep only....

I wanna ask you guys - Since my fiance (petitioner) lives far away from Texas so she cant go to their US office. So, if i (benefeciary from india) go to the US embassy in india for the update, will they entertain me??? Will tell me status of my application??? I dont think they will, but still i am asking your vews in this regard....

  8. I think they only update the date they tell people on the 14th of every month...so they will keep saying Sept. 11 until April 14. Lovely!

Trust me I am beyond irritated w/everything now..

yeah i think u r right..... it seems that they update the data (or dates) once in a month... so whenever we call them and ask what date they are working on, they just tell the date which they last updated... rt?

  9. we have just completed 5 months of getting the NOA1. On feb 21 2011, we completed exact 5 months. Any idea, when we can expect to get the NOA2.

Even the date in "Immigration Timelines" section of Visa Journey website is not moving ahead. I am waiting for this date to come to 21 Sep 2010, but its still stuck between 13th sep to 17th sep. The day it touches 17th sep, it comes down to 13th sep on the next day.

Is anyone here who is facing this problem too?

    Regards,

    Jaspreet
