  3. What's up Visa Journey Fam, sorry I haven't been on site to update you on recent information or provide valuable tips, but the reason for it is because nothing new has come about. Right now my husband is in the process of looking for work. One piece of advice that I will give is to start applying for jobs a month before receiving your work permit if you are going through the K1 process. Well I hope all is well with everyone and chat with you soon.

  5. Hello, I must say that your story is also beautiful and I feel you did the most important thing ... prayed on it. I did the same and had plenty of doubt but when I made up my mind, I was confident that we were meant to be. Since him living in the States it's been magic and I have no regrets. Best of luck on this life journey.

  7. continue...your fiance can work immediately once entering the States, however it's a quicker process for the K1 visa holders to get their Green Cards

  9. I would like to make a comment on what John Dam Dam typed. I was told the same thing that the K1 process is hard to get approved. During the time that I filed we established a small group called the US/Ghana Family. There were about 35 to 40 members and a variety of filing processes. I filed the K1 visa along with several of the other members and had no issues. What I will say is if you go CR1...

  11. Hello GAFL's thanks for stopping by my page and sending me those comforting words. Going through this process is definitely like a second job, I am grateful that we have completed the major part of the process. Now it's just time to get the paperwork filed here in the States. Best wishes!

  16. Hello VJ, ok, so I would like to share the adventure that my husband and I had with getting married within 90 days...ABQ only have one judge that marry through Justice of Peace. The next available appointment was one week after his due date so we reached out the the Bishop at the church. Well the Bishop requires that we complete pre-marital counseling. We were excited about the counseling, however once we found out how long it took that idea wasn't working either. Finally I decided to sea...

  17. Who is my hubby friend that says they know him from Visa Journey?

  18. Hello VJ, my fiance picked up his visa on March 3rd. I've heard about multiple issues people been having with picking up their visas, so thank GOD we haven't experienced any.

  19. Hello Reecy, per the instructions you just need a letter from your bank that states how long your account been open, the balance and the deposits that have been made to your account. When I requested this information from my bank they were trippin' and refused to give it to me so what I did was provided the last 12 month statements with all details and just highlighted the deposits.

  20. Hello VJ, I want to update everyone on my process. My fiance was approved and he's scheduled to pick up his visa on March 2nd. Hopefully there will not be any delays. Just a word of advice, if you have your visa approved do not purchase a travel ticket until the visa is in hand. There were some cases where tickets were purchased and when it was time to go pick up the visa, the Embassy delayed the pick up by weeks. Best of Luck to everyone!

  21. K1 Visa Approved!

  22. Hello VJ Fam! Here are some things that were brought up in our group that was not outlined on the forms so you might want to look into this for the area you are filing. Original tax receipts, new birth certificate, and passport with biometrics. I am sure this is not so for all countries but it's something to be aware of.

This is for the fiance/fiancee ... not the person filing.

  23. This has truly been an adventure ... now all my love and I must do is bring it on home. Beingme3 and I have been on the same journey because our dates are just 4 days apart to victory. It has been an awesome experience to meet such great people during this journey who will be forever friends. For those that are just getting start, embrace what's going on because before you look up the date will be right around the corner. I am glad I had that time to prepare because it's a lot of info...

  24. This is something I encountered that I would like to share with the VJ Family...My fiance interview is coming up at the end of the month, so I had to mail off a package with all the information he needed. My worries was the postal service and the rumors I've heard about packages coming up missing or not making it at all. I mailed my package off through USPS Express Mail Service on January 4th and the package arrived today (January 12th 2012). So if you are going to mail any packages to Gh...

Yeah I bet @ Tyeger... I checked DHL and Fed Ex and they wanted an arm and a leg like this entire process isn't already expensive. I've sent three packages to Ghana using USPS Express Mail with a tracking number and none of the packages exceeded 10 days to deliever. I believe as long as you have a tracker on it and no valuables inside you will be alright.

  25. Good Day Anum,

How are you doing? Thanks for commenting on my page, I haven't been as active with VJ as I should be. How are you doing with the process? How long has it been since you or your fiance submitted the information?
