Hello VJ Fam, sorry I've been away for so long. I've been busy with work and school. Also, this K1 visa process that is very time consuming. Well, last week I updated my timeline and our interview date is next month. This will be interesting because I've heard mixed messages about the Embassy of Ghana requiring people to marry before qualifying for a visa. Keep me in your prayers and we shall see how this goes.

Hello VJ Fam! I was notified about 15 minutes ago by my fiance that everything went well and his visa is approved. He is scheduled to pick it up on March 2nd 2012. I am so happy to "ALMOST" be done with this process. Once he has the visa in his hands and is on the plane then I can close this adventure in my life OUT! Hello VJ Fam! Here are some things that were brought up in our group that was not outlined on the forms so you might want to look into this for the area you are filing. Original tax receipts, new birth certificate, and passport with biometrics. I am sure this is not so for all countries but it's something to be aware of.

Hello Feddy & Nana, I heard that some were being denied in Ghana for not having the passport with biometrics so my fiance purchased a new one to be on the safe side of things. If you think your fiance passport will be expired by the time of the interview "yes" you will need to get a new one for her. The new one's automatically come with the biometrics.

This is something I encountered that I would like to share with the VJ Family...My fiance interview is coming up at the end of the month, so I had to mail off a package with all the information he needed. My worries was the postal service and the rumors I've heard about packages coming up missing or not making it at all. I mailed my package off through USPS Express Mail Service on January 4th and the package arrived today (January 12th 2012). So if you are going to mail any packages to Gh...

Yeah I bet @ Tyeger... I checked DHL and Fed Ex and they wanted an arm and a leg like this entire process isn't already expensive. I've sent three packages to Ghana using USPS Express Mail with a tracking number and none of the packages exceeded 10 days to deliever. I believe as long as you have a tracker on it and no valuables inside you will be alright.

Yes, you will get a final copy in the mail. As I am typing this email they are preparing your information to be sent over to the Embassy that's going to handle your file. Your partner will receive notification in the mail ... I went through Ghana and it took about a month and he received a letter telling him to come in to pick up his package for his interview.
