  1. Hi Neko,

Sorry about your RFE, i guess all you can do is your best. Can you please tell us if you got an email/text alert about the RFE and did your online case status change to RFE?

Please i will appreciate a reply.

    Thanks

    Hi LANCE_ORACLE,

I haven't signed up for the email/text alert, so I went online to check my case.

My status is still initial review. I don't know if they are going to change, but if I see it changed, I will let you know;)

  2. Hi everyone! Congratulations to all the approvals :D

We received an RFE letter today. I knew it!! Hahaha

It is dated February 10th. (Can somebody update the chart for us, please? :) )

Gar, let us join the team RFE ;)

We are going to call and ask them what we can provide, because we don't have any of the things they listed.

We don't have a joint account, we don't have any car payments, the lease and all the utility bills are on my husband, we don't have any children at this point, we don't have joint credit card.

Only thing we can think of right now is to have our neighbors to write a letter.

Or just tell them that they are always welcome to visit us, and schedule an interview with us?

Anyhow, not having the things they listed is just how we are, so we will have to see...

  3. We submitted the Shohon (abridged version) and did everything just as you did--translated and made a translation certificate and sent with everything else. I think we were just unlucky :( Did you apply for the I-131 and EAD at the same time? We did, and I'm wondering if because of that they expected us to send TWO Shohon's instead of one. No idea!

Yes, we did apply for advance parole.

Hmm, I have no idea why they are doing that to you.

If I were you, I would just call them, going through the waiting on the phone line, and ask them what they mean...

I'm sorry I couldn't help you, but I sure wish you all the best!! :)

    Gambatte!

  4. When coming back from Tokyo a couple weeks ago we got a few "this card is going to expire in a few days" comments and even showed the one year extension letter to the airline staff in Narita.

We're REALLY looking forward to getting the 10 year card so we can avoid this.

Of course this was nothing compared to the nightmare of using advance parole. That time they separated us and my wife had to go through questioning in a separate area.

    Yagisama,

I had to go back to Japan for 2 weeks between last November and December, and my green card was already expired when I flew back to California. I was expecting that they might get me in the little room to question me, because I have been brought in that room once before, when my husband and I were still dating...

But nobody gave me a hard time. I presented the one year extension letter in both Narita and LAX, and I had no problem what so ever. :D

  5. O.M.G guys, I received a couple text messages, saying to check case status due to an update. Here is the message I saw.

On January 17, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I knew we would soon start seeing approvals, did not think I would be among the first.

    Congratulations Neo1!!

That's such great news to all of us, to finally see an approval;)

  6. pls can anyone kindly address my previous post? I'm a bit worried my evidence might not be sufficient!

I think the things you submitted are way better than ours.

We only included our tax returns, and some pictures.

We might get a RFE, but we will go from there, if we did get one.

I personally think that when you get a RFE, that's what they have to do, because that's their job... Haha :)

    Anyways...

Good luck to you LANCE_ORACLE! :D

  7. I think that you don't have to write the stage name on the form, since it is not something that he uses to get a plane ticket, ID, etc. Just my opinion.

If I were you, I would provide documents that shows that is his stage name, along with the email threads you are going to send in. Something like flyers and posters for his shows from the past would work? Or something from the organization he belongs to; production company or something.

At least, that's what I would want to see, if I were the examiner at uscis;)

    Good luck!

    Ai

  8. Hi neko! How are you? Long time no see! How do you like living in California so far? I dagged my wife to Oklahoma City for a year but we're going back to California in a few months! energy.gif

Hey Yagisama, good to see you again!:D

We are loving San Diego more and more, as we have started fishing since last summer. So many fish to catch!

    Oklahoma City!!

I have never been there, but in my mind, Oklahoma, and Kentucky remind me of the geico ad where the old McDonald says "COW..., Eieio. Dagnabbit!" Hehehe

My husband is from Alabama, and I love going back there~*

I think we will eventually move there when we get older, but for now, San Diego is our home, sweet home:)

    Come back to California!!;)

    Ai
