Asad-I think three months is standard wait time, if all goes well. I wouldn't travel anywhere, since i heard it could delay the process, but don't take my word for it, research it.

EMBASSY CHANGED CASE STATUS TO READY FOR ISSUANCE. PASSPORT NEEDS TO BE DROPPED ON TUESDAY.

I calle DOS today to get the status of my case, and she asked for my bday (it's today) and his, then she congratulated me. For a second, I thought she meant congrats you are out of ap, but it was very nice of her. STILL PENDING "normal" processing though. Whatever that means.

Called DOS and I asked about the status of my fiance's case. It turns out there isn't anything wrong with my case, but it is still under processing. She said it "normal" processing and it can take 90 days, but in some instances it takes up to 6 months. OHHHHH, i hope I am not one that has to wait that long.

Called DOS and case is still pending.

Called DOS and the representative said the case was still pending, but now I know it is at the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and not Washington.

I did get your message, but for some reason I can't respond. Anyhow, the co had said-our interview was fine and the paperwork submitted was fine. My fiance had police certificates from both Afghanistan and Dubai. The co officer told us it would take 2 weeks to one month, possibly a little longer to issue him a visa. She kept on saying you guys are fine, u guys are fine. It's not one mon...

My fiance is originally from Afghanistan, but he currently lives in Dubai on a temporary workers visa that expires 2013. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just saw that your AP status is complete? Is this true? If so, I am so happy for you! I think our fiance's had the interview around the same time. My fiance's interview was Sept. 12th and your Sept 15. I am hoping to get good news as well.
