  1. The doctor ( Apollo Clinic in Chandigarh) my husband went to did his physical and other exams and gave the results to him at the end of the visit. All it took was one day. Call up one of the doctors on the list and explain your situation. I'm sure you could be done in a day.

  2. So my Husband was told he could pick up his passport at Chandigarh VFS office in 2 weeks after his interview, but they would call him once it gets there. A week after his interview (yesterday) I had him call VFS, who then directed him to a different phone #, who said we don't have any information call Blue Dart (the courier service). Online on blue dart our reference # showed that that package was being held at their facility in Chandigarh. When my husband called them to find out what was going on and when they would send it to VFS, they said he could pick it up at their office. The said they don't know anything about the package still going from their office to VFS, but that he could come and get it from them. So he went and got it.

Very weird, if we had not been proactive and called who knows where it would have ended up!

  3. Good luck on your interview and when is your husbands PD?

PD? priority date? CR1 visas don't have priority dates as far as I know.

Hey M_ and K_. My family is from Punjab too. Kindly post your interview details if possible. Congratulations on your husband's approval

Thank you! I will post shortly

I applied for K1 visa for my fiance and we sent Packet 3 in March. We did not get Packet 4 in the mail, maybe got lost or something. I have been checking with the embassy's call center at infousdelhi@vfshelpline.com but the bad thing is that they take a week to check with the embassy and get back to you. I sent an email on April 5 and they said the interview date has not been scheduled. I sent another email asking the status of our interview date on April 15. They replied on April 25 that our interview is on May 02 and now we do not have enough time for medical and submitting papers to the nearest VFS as it has to be done 7 days before the interview. What are our option? Get the medical, take the medical receipt and all paper to the interview? and submit the medical report when available to the nearest VFS? Let me know if there are any other options.

I answered this in your other post. good luck.

  5. My husband is having his medical exam today at the Apollo Clinic in Chandigarh. In addition to the routine blood screens, vaccination, and chest xray, they told him that an "abdominal" and "heart" ultrasound are also required by the embassy for everyone. These exams aren't listed on the information the embassy sent out. I can't think of any reason they would need to do this exam. Anyone have any thought on why they are asking him to do it besides getting more money from him?

  6. Hello Everyone, My wife got a call from Embassy yesterday to come to embassy. she is scheduled an interview for April 19, 2011. She has a medical check up on Tuesday morning. What a rush? But, we will take it. Embassy asked her the wedding pictures and passport, and they kept them. She did not receive anything from embassy and when she asked the embassy personnel what documents she needs to bring, the personnel says need nothing and told my wife to come to interview. Does she need to take anything with her like skype logs and emails?

We are happy. And this is for my lovely wife...

    :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Congrats!!! I'm thinking that since we are making such a racket and trying to get things done, this shows evidence of a real relationship more than anything else. It shows we are trying to do anything in our power to be with our spouse. At least that's what I would think if I were an embassy officer. But just to be on the safe side tell her to take the evidence with her! Good luck!!

  7. What are you trying to do?

why are you contacting ND embassy for your husband i-130?

The case was expedited through NVC so the Embassy has it now. ( I had not yet turned in AOS or IV packets) They said they sent a packet 3 letter (snail mail) to him, but he haven't received it yet. Sometimes the letter I send him never reach him either so I'm hoping it isn't lost in the mail. I am trying to get them to email the information they want to me or him. I was able to get a hold of someone Monday (Sunday night here) he said he'd email it but then never did. Since then I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone to help us. I still try every night (morning there)once the receptionist transfers me the phone just keeps ringing and ringing. When I call back the receptionists are rude to me. I don't know what to do. Just waiting and praying.

  8. I have had the hardest time trying to talk to someone at the ND Embassy regarding my Husbands I -130. Anyone else have similar experience? I wonder if there is a better to get in touch with someone. I have also tried VSF and email both are useless for me also. The person I need to talk to is never at his desk and no one else wants to help they just say "That's not my department!" :bonk:

  9. Yesterday, the AVR said something like "Your case is now complete. Your interview will be scheduled by your local embassy, and we will contact you then" (or words to that effect). Laughably, today, the AVR says another checklist letter was sent out on the 6th April, and they are awaiting a response.

We're still SIF by the way.

I called DOS on Wednesday, and the guy said they would be shipping to the consulate. Val called DOS yesterday, and the girl said it had been shipped. Val called again today, and she was told it HASN'T been shipped. I'm going to call quite late tonight to see what answer I get....wacko.gif

The checklist letter may be the packet 3 sent out by the embassy? I'm told that packet also involves a checklist. Just a guess though. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive.

  10. So out of USCIS, NVC and New Delhi consulate. Consulate is the worst! There is no one there to help offer information. The receptionist staff transfers your call while your still trying to explain why your calling (while you're still talking) and transfer you to a line that no one answers. If you ask to speak to a supervisor they hang up on you x 3 times. BY FAR the worst experience so far!!

I was up late last night (due to time difference) calling then trying to get a hold of someone which I wasn't able to and then tried again at 4am today only to be told "well we are going to close soon (they close at 5) so maybe that's why no one is answering that line" WOW! What great work ethics!

I was so upset I almost cried! I then called DOS who told me they just put my case into the computer today and sent out information regarding "packet 3" I asked if it's via email or regular she did not know.

So I have no option but to try calling the embassy again tonight.

Oh I tried email too, but they are outsourced to a VFS center, who knows nothing.

    So frustrated!
