In our case they did not ask for additional documents. They just gave us a 221g and asked us to wait, waiting since Sept 8th.

Any news on the 221g? Have you guys submitted the additional documents they were asking for?

My fiance said the same thing. That the CO was very nice when interviewing, but almost no one was approved that day. Everyone got a 221g for one reason or another. :/

sorry to hear about your 221g. This is exactly the pain we have been going through for the past month. The process is so broken that it's insane. I hope this goes by quickly for you.

Anyways, I hope I didn't scare you, i'm just telling you the truth. Hopefully your interview will go fine and you will get the Visa the same day. Let us know how it turns out!

My Congressman has been in touch with them, but he told me that they have pretty much unlimited power when it comes to Visa, and there is absolutely nothing that anyone in the Government, not even the Congress or Senate, can do to even find out why we got the AP. I pretty much stopped thinking about it because it does no good getting angry about it, there is nothing that anyone can do, short of the President personally calling the Embassy.

Hey Marjuss Girl. I just got your message. Unfortunately we are still waiting for our AP to finish. Marsilda had her interview on Sept 8th, and today is Oct 11th, so it's been over a month now. I have done everything possible, including contacting my Congressman, Senators, writng letters to USCIS, State Dept, White House, multiple emails to the Embassy, had my friends and family do the same, no luck. It seems like the Consular Officers are like God.

Hey marjus's girl, I have a question. You said that you are living in Albania with your husband. Do you require any kind of special visa or residency permit to stay in Albania for longer than a few months? I am just thinking ahead, if I need to move to Albania to be with my fiance, i'm assuming i'll need a Visa if I want to stay for 6 months - 1 year.
