No. I was just missing the divorce certificate in Urdu (old format) from the Union Council. I guess once I send it to them, my wife should be getting her visa. She had her interview already.

No we didn't get the visa yet. We just got the civil document that the Embassy asked for but unfortunately these idiots make spelling mistakes in the names so we have to get it corrected first and will then send the document to the Embassy. I hope it goes through smoothly.

How is your case going so far?

I had already bought the plane tickets for Aug. 17 to go bring her home (US). Hopefully we'll still get the visa before the 17th. I wish you the best of luck with medical and interview. I hope everything goes smooth.

Medical was on July 11 and her interview was yesterday. She didn't get the visa yet. They somewhat approved it but asked to submit her original divorce papers in native language before they send her passport with via stamp. We had already sent them the original divorce papers in English & they had accepted them. Anyway, now we r trying to get those papers ASAP so that they can send her ...

Medical was OK. I thought vaccine was needed only in Fall but they still gave them to my wife. She got fever and her arms were swollen for a few days. Other than that medical was OK. She has her interview tonight (US time) so hopefully, she'll give the good news tomorrow.

Thanks. We called for Medical appointment but they asked to call back on Monday. Hopefully, we'll get an early appointment. Our interview date it July 21.

My wife mailed the package on May 25 and NVC received it on May 31.

I know in Pakistan, Police dept needs to see an official letter from NVC requesting a Police report. I asked NVC and they said they don't give any such letters. We'll just go to the precinct and see if we can get the Police Report without the letter. Let's see how it goes. NVC instructions say that we need a Police report from each jurisdiction where we have lived.

Yes, I sent the I-864 on Apr. 30. We are waiting to get the police report from Pakistan. It might take a week or so. Meanwhile, we got all the other documents including DS230 ready. So as soon as we get the Police Report, we'll mail the package to NVC.

Got IV bill today and paid it today. Things are finally moving now. :-)

I paid my AOS bill on Apr. 28th already. Does anyone know how long does it take to get the IV bill?

Hoorrrray!!! I just got the NVC Case #, Invoice #, etc. from NVC a few minutes ago. I'll pay the Affidavit of Support fee tomorrow.

Absolutely... I was on the phone with my wife when I got the text msg from USCIS on my cell phone. Mail from USCIS smells like a love letter. :-)

As of March 23, I can finally check my case status online. It took them 4 1/2 months just for that. My status is still showing in 'initial review' so nothing has changed on that end. I hope the wait time isn't longer than expected.

No, I still can't look up my case # online. It says that my case number is not found. I have called USCIS several times and they keep singing the same tune that "it's a system problem that's preventing you from checking your case status online but your case is fine and it's in process. Just be patient."

I haven't received my NOA2 yet. I am just up...

What pisses me off is that USCIS doesn't process visas on a first-come first-serve basis. We are totally on their mercy once we apply. I have been hearing from other people that it's taking 8-9 months these days. I hope it doesn't take us any longer than normal, aamin. Good luck to you both.

Yeah, hope to hear something good soon. I know there no rythm to this whole process. Some people get theirs approved in less than 6 months and others have to wait for over a year for no apparent reason. It sucks!!! Keep in touch bro.
