  1. Sorry :Plaughing.gif

Grats on getting the case number! Call back again tomorrow to see if they've finished entering your case, so you can give your email addresses.

Thanks Saylin! ... I'm hoping NVC contact the lawyer soon to expedite (expedited 3 times in the stinky hole) ... I'm afaid if I intervine NVC screw up. Any advice would be apprecited what to do next from anyone?.

boy it feels good out of the TSC hole .. but now in the NVC tunnel ....

  2. I am a Muslim guy, I am from an Arabic country and I am living in Dubai.

A few months ago I separated from my wife but I did not file a divorce case as she needed the husband visa to look for a job in Dubai. The marriage was done in Dubai/UAE.

Last week I proposed to some girl from my country who holds an American passport and according to my country and Islam traditions, our family asked us to make a marriage contract. We are technically married in the court but not yet a couple until the wedding party.

I went to the court today to file a divorce case as my ex is working and she is about to get her own residence visa. The court said that the divorce will take a week to be processed.

I am waiting for the divorce to be done to start the immigration process.

    My questions are:

1- Would my first marriage affect the immigration since it overlapped with my second and polygamy is considered as an offense in the USA? If yes, what should I do?

2- Can an attorney help with this issue?

3- If they would decline my visa, when will they do? After the interview or before?

Please give me any advise that helps with my case.

if you do direct filling from the US embassy since your wife seems lives currently outside the US, you can explain during the interview the overlap. I remembr a guy have similar issue (He married 2nd non US citizen at her country while his marriage to his american citizen still not terminated) ... the US embassy asked him to explain himself and bring divorve documents for all his previous wifes.... you have to start the process and go for it .. it is not the end of the universe. Good luck

    Did you e-mail Csc-NCSC-FollowUp@dhs.gov?

  6. My dearest VJ family, who've been through, and are still on, one of the most disturbing roller coaster rides of our lives, I haven't received ANY text message or ANY email regarding the status of my case.

At 8:54PM, after having finished my cases at work from 6 this morning, I followed my usual routine- get on VJ, read up on how my friends are doing, and for the hell of it log on to the USCIS website.

My I130 and I129F cases statuses were both updated as of today.

I immediately clicked on the I130 and my eyes fell on a blue dot overlying "Post Decision Activity". Not having mailed in any wedding photos, tickets, receipts, Skype screen shots, affidavits, joint account information, etc., I feared I was in for the mother of all RFEs.

    I am in sheer disbelief.

    Congratulations DOC!

  7. I emailed Angela on 2/15 but she never replied- do you think she ever will? David Badger did reply (luckily)- do you know if they hold the same kind of leverage at DHS?

And yes, I am still waiting to see what's going on with my case. I'm planning on calling USCIS tomorrow and will attempt to get escalated to a Tier-2 person to see if I can get any more info on when my file will get forwarded to NVC from CSC.

When I do get to NVC I hope you all will help me with any questions I may have!!

    :)

Jenny, try e-mailing Csc-NCSC-FollowUp@dhs.gov (Cali Service center) and SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov (main operation center in DC).

I have not e-mailed those yet regarding shipping of my case to NVC yet (I'll give them till Monday) ... mine was approved in CSC on 2/15 though I had not received e-mail stating the transfer ...

  8. Does anybody have an idea of how to go about shipping our spouse's personal belonging to the US? Do we have to wait until the visa is issued? Is there a form I can sign to say these are my things so customs will let them in?

you need to petition TSC .... bad joke!!

    check these formsat http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/forms/

    - U.S. Customs Form 3299 – Declaration For Free Entry of Unaccompanied Articles

    - U.S. Customs Form 6059B – Customs Declaration

I'm not an expert in this but this might be a start

  9. That's true. Just trying to remain optimistic for everyone still waiting for their approvals. Also, I realize that this is not their normal capacity and that they're really pooling all of their resources now, but I think they will continue to do so until almost all of these petitions are taken care of.

And speaking of numbers, have the processing numbers for December come out yet? I think they are usually posted on the 15th, but I'm not sure where to find them. I'd love to see how many cases TSC actually completed in December.

  10. Hey all, just thought I'd share my thoughts on repeatedly emailing Ms. Barrows.

When it comes to sending multiple emails in the span of 5 business days, I think it's a bad idea. Also, the weekend should not be counted when determining how long it's been since she's received your email, regardless of whether we think she's working or not, that's simple business etiquette.

I, like most of you, feel like we've paid for a service, thereby we're, for the lack of a better word, entitled to a result within a defined period of time.

We're fortunate that Wade (I believe) was able to procure Ms. Barrows' email address for us. With that email address in hand, we ought to be judicious about how we utilize it.

There is a difference between sending a single introductory email, versus electronically badgering someone. Some people deserve to be badgered, others don't.

In my opinion, the fact that Ms. Barrows has, for the most part, been very receptive to our messages, should warrant some type of hesitation on our part before we send her several "reminders." Also taking into consideration the "tone" one may employ in an email, there really is a gray transitional area that separates a single "please help me" email to an irritating "it's me again, for the Xth time in your inbox, did you forget me already?!" email.

Just my 2 cents for all of us to consider :)

  11. Hello Everyone, First time writing, but long time reading…….

Just like most of us here, I filed back in August….I have a priority date of 8/17. I was transferred to TSC on November 2nd, and I had no touches till Friday, February 11th, transferred back to California…….

I placed a Service Request back in January, but no help. I received a reply, that my application was under Review….. I also contacted my senator, and congressman, both replied that they are contacting USCIS, but as of today no answer…

At least it gives me hope that with the touch/transfer back to California, I know they are looking at my file……is not lost somewhere!

Hss the message stated the transfer to CSC on Feb 11th or only a touch with same old massage to a USIS office?
