My fiance has visited me in Chicago at least 7 times while her Visa was pending....she never brought anything, and was never qustioned. I can't prove it, but I'm convinced there is no way for them to know you are K1 pending. But as everyone else said..bring proof JUST IN CASE!

The interview went really well and she got the VISA on the SAME DAY... yep! the SAME DAY...let me explain what happened..... my fiance said the lady was very nice and asked some pretty basic questions (have you been convicted of a crime, etc..etc..). She said the interview went super smooth.... 5 minutes at the most. ...but check this out... My fiance brought only Canadian money (even though I told her to bring US dollars)!
At the embassy they told her they wouldnt accept the canadian money (US equivilent), and they asked her to go to the bank and then come back. My fiance BOLDLY pointed out on the letter which stated that canadian money was allowed. They were surprised by that and the immigration officer went to talk to someone...
They let her go to the bank and when she came back, they apologized that the letter said they would accept Canadian funds and gave the Visa today for her trouble! I dont suggest you try this, and they probably will change the letter in the future. Bring American funds no matter what the letter says!
My fiance got pretty lucky because the immigration officer was prett nice. Someone else could have easily said "I dont care what the letter says." They didnt ask for all the things in my list (didn't need the NOA-2, NVC letter, Fiance letters of intent). I still suggest you bring those items on my list, but she didnt need it.

Download the Part II and bring it with you, do it beforehand. I believe they make you do it there, just complete it beforehand and dont sign. There were some things in the letter that I made my fiance bring (being the paranoid person I am). Better to be overprepared then underprepared. I'll give you the full report on how the interview went when my Fiance calls me.
Great list. My interview is Wednesday next week. I"m not sure if you are a K1er but I never got a DS230 Part II.I hope I don't need one. Anyone have any thoughts on this? My package didn't mention a DS230 Part II.
Good luck and please remember to piost your review!!!!

I think my fiance is set....what do you guys think:
1. Letter from embassy
2. NOA-2
3. NVC Letter
4. New fiancé letter of intent (from her and from me)
5. Birth certificate
8. Police certificate
9. I-134 +supporting evidence (bank Statement, Employer Letter)
10. Two passport pictures.
11. Passport
12. DS-156 (fill, but do not sign)
13. DS-156K (fill, but do not sign)
14. DS-230 Part II (fill, but do not sign- make sure not to select "no" on the social security card question)
15. Payment in US dollars (bringing US CASH).
16. Pre-Paid Express envelope for VISA (because her interview is on a Friday).
Misc: Get receipt of payment from Embassy
