Znate sto... Stvarno mi počinje ići na živce ovaj proces. Prošli tjedan zovem ambasadu u Zagrebu i nitko se ne javlja na imigrantskom odjelu. I tako ja zovem i zovem ko ovca idiot i na kraju kad sam vidio da tu nesto ozbiljno ne valja nazovem ja informacije. Čovjek na info mi mrtav hladan kaze da se nitko ne javlja zato jer je mačka na godišnjem odmoru do 5.07!! Ej kad sam to čuo skoro sam pao u nesvijest. Pomislio sam na trenutak da se nalazim u nekom kafkijanskom romanu besmislice. I ja pristojno, jer moram tako, pitam dali to znaci da nema procesuiranja k1 viza do početka srpnja? A momak: pa da, ništa do 5.07...ali ako je vama hitno mozda možemo nesto napraviti.

Ja opet ne mogu vjerovati svojim ušima. Ma koga oni prave ludim... I tako mic po mic čovjek postane iskren i kaze mi da to stvarno nema smisla i da se on potpuno slaže sa mnom da je to nebuloza da se cijeli imigrantski odjel ugasi dok ženska negdje toča noge na Jadranu. Inače ta ženska me zajebala i prošli tjedan kad su joj stigli moji papiri iz NVCa, tvrdila je da mi je proslijedila paket iz ambasade isti dan po primitku nvc stvari a u stvarnosti ga je poslala tek tjedan poslije..

Nastavljamo taj momak i ja razgovor i on mi kaze da mi treba potvrda o nekaznjavanju i potvrda o nevodjenju postupka!! Ja to, savjestan kakav jesam kad moram biti, već izvadio ali to očito nije potvrda o nekaznjavanju već samo o nevodjenju postupka. Navodno za drugu potvrdu moram u Zagreb u Zagrepčanku gdje to mogu dobit, navodno, samo ako se osobno pojavim. Jel to istina?

Doktor B me oderao za 1700 devalviranih hrvatskih kuna i slag na kraju, svakoi cjepivo, testiranje krvi i RTG sam posebno plaćao! Pa sto je onda uključeno u tu basnoslovnu expedited sumu? Ništa osim doktorovih 5 min s tobom.

Čini se da će me i intervju doći tu negdje oko 350$... da ne racunam Zagreb i put i hranu i ostale pizd... A onda jos avion i AOS. Jebote!

Totalno sam razj*** i demotiviran jer sam mislio da je am ambasada ipak za klasu vise od recimo naših gruntovnica a sad mi se čini da ni ameri nisu imuni na taj prokleti balkanski virus zafrkancije i relativno olakog shvaćanja stvari. Da ženska na godišnjem... Ako me infarkt nije roknuo kad sam to čuo neće nikad. I kakvih to tisuću potvrda treba za dokazati da si upright citizen.... Mah.... Kako ću se naroljat mojitosa kad vidim malu i maznem t-bone medium rare:)

iPhone stvarno nije medij na kojem se čovjek moze izrazavat kad je ljut. Stalno mi neki k** ispravlja pa sori za tipfelere, inače sam pismen

I don't think US immigration system is illogical and broken. Don't forget that no other country in the world is more hated/feared by it's enemies and more coveted as a place to live by everybody else than is the U.S. By scrutinizing incoming visitors regardless of what status they might be in there is a higher probability of detecting foes.

Back to the topic. Not even K-1 visa in your passport is any guarantee you will be alowed entry to the States. So he may be allowed to the States depending on incalculable number of variables such as his body language and overall posture and tone of voice, officer that is administering at his POE, and finally his visa and proof of ties in his home country.

Thank you guys. I am speechless... You wait for that sacred noa2 and you hope for it but when it actually happens in a timely manner without rfe you find it hard ti believe. However I am very realistic person and it's not done untill it's done. Once I have my shiny visa in my passport I will believe it happened, or better yet- once I successfully ford treacherous waters of my poe:)

I spent 11 continuous months in the US from the second half of 2009 until may of 2010. I arrived there on J-1 and before it expired I filed for visitor's visa which was approved and granted me time until may of 2010.

Should I somehow try to obtain police certificate from the States as well as from my native country, Croatia?

I'm a K-1 beneficiary.

Hello my fellow February filers! First I would like to praise this community of wonderful people. I think it's amazing how everyone is so supportive of each other. It really is a huge comfort knowing that there are people out in the world going through the same exact situation as you are. Having the support of family and friends is great, but only people going through the same situation as you are know exactly what it feels like.

My fiance and I are newbies to the vj community. I had started a thread earlier tonight for Feb. 2011 filers but I just realized that this one was already started which is great!

We sent our packet to the Dallas lock box on 02/16, it arrived on 02/18, and we are awaiting the official NOA1.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and I wish the best of luck to us all!!!

Hello Everyone! First I would like to praise this community of wonderful people. I think it's amazing how everyone is so supportive of each other. It really is a huge comfort knowing that there are people out in the world going through the same exact situation as you are. Having the support of family and friends is great, but only people going through the same situation as you are know exactly what it feels like.

I thought it would be nice to gather all of the February 2011 filers into one spot, just so we have a place to go to see each other's progress, offer our support and best wishes etc. I read a post today of a couple who filed two weeks ago and already received their NOA2 approval! HOW AMAZING! As I continued to read, another previous February filer said it only took about 1 month for them to receive their NOA2 along with a few other people she knew. GOD WILLING US FEBRUARY 2011 FILERS WILL BE SO LUCKY!!!

I will start...

What are you talking about? "If you turn in your petition you have about 50% chance of getting through by December/January." K1 process usually takes between 3-6 months to get your petition approved. Recently it seems that majority of K1s get approved within 5 months time frame. So I don't know what did you mean by December/january

Ej Hrvati, ajde bas lijepo da nas ima. Kad svi zavrsimo u USA trebamo napraviti nekakav tulum jednom godisnje, da se svi dobro iznapijamo

Thank you very much for your input! My case is perfectly clear and without red flags, I never got into any kind of trouble. At first my GF wanted to hire an immigration lawyer, but after we went through VJ and numerous other sites(although VJ is by far the best)we were sure it can be done by ourselves, K1 is costly as it is.

Next week or so we will be filing everything and hopefully within 4-5 months I'll have an interview. From what I read and based on my personal experience US Embassy in Zagreb is quite a pleasureable experience:)

Oh and I am from Split, Croatia;)

My American girlfriend and me have decided to go along with K1 visa. We did our homework, gathered all the paperwork, and we're just about to send our 5 pound care package to adjudicators in California. However, there is this nuisance of a lawyer bugging us to hire his company to act as our liaison in the K1 process. He charges 2000 green ones for that!!!)

Well I just wanted to say hi to this lovely community of good people. And if anybody smarter than me in the matters of K1 could post a short topic of why the lawyer is completely not needed I would be very grateful. My GF sometimes gets scared and thinks we're better of with the lawyer..
