We just got approved!! yay, found out after demanding a expedite only to have them say you have already been approved and your letter has been sent to the address on our file, so i dont know if our immigration lawyers got the email and havent told us or it just goes to our address.. either way AWESOME!! hope everyone elses who hasnt come through does soon! call ur congressman/senator, it works!

Thank you everyone for your support. If it helps contact your state senator I think this is why i finally got it done. Yesterday my state senators office contacted me in the morning letting me know that a decision was made but they couldn't let me know which one. I called yesterday a few times and was told by immigration officers they dont see anything but at 7:30 last night i was told an email will be out shortly but that they couldn't see what it contained because it was still blank and they are working on the case. This morning the email finally came. Vermont is going strong this morning i am intouch with other cases around my case number and they all got approved today. If it helps move the last digit of your case number up or down and you can see how far they are.

Thank you I hope everyone gets the NOA2 soon. I just called and was told that they are working 10 to 15 cases a day. So everyone get ready this week is our week to celebrate september filers. It's incredible my birthday is tommorow and I just got the best birthday present. Good luck to everyone.

After much long wait. I just received my Noa2 approval email. YAyyyyyyy. Finally vermont is starting to work again. Getting your senator involved helps if you are out of the normal processing time.

I called in today first thing this morning. Uscis told me to contact vermont directly by emailing them so i can get an update on my requests. I am starting this week in fustration already with vermont. Uscis says now that the other officers misinformed me with the information they gave me in regards to me getting an answer by monday. I will continue to put updates as i get them. good luck to the rest.

An Immigration officer wudnt make those kinda information up. Sounds like something good for you ! Im happy

Update: just called USCIS again. they transfered me all the way to an immigration officer. I was lucky to get someone to actually check on my application. he put me on hold came back and told me the delay on background check is not on me its actually on my fiance since he is in dominican republic but that they got the report back and just need to update information to continue. He stated to me that i will get a definate answer by sunday so to expect an email any day soon with a response. if not to call back monday. Hopefully this is true. will keep fingers crossed.

i don't understand how they decide which petitions to approve in which order. i had my approval on march 14th and my noa1 on sept 21, now i see people from sept 23 haven't had their noa2s yet? what sense does that make?

I can't figure it out either. I'm Noa 1 sept 16, 2010 and still waiting for background checks to clear.

I just talked to them and of course they just gave me the run around and would not put in a service request. I asked why did the lady promise me that if I called in 1 month I would get one? Did she lie to me? He just said those dates are estimated and I said well she shouldnt make empty pormises. I told them I know some people are getting service requests in after September 11th dates. He just said he cant look at what other people are doing and cannot put in a service request. I ended up hanging up on the guy though before I got too angry and started yelling at him. I dont want them to throw my application in the trash.

Call back you will get someone else diffrent. I did it a couple of times and i finally got someone to help me.

Our NOA2 has just been emailed! Relief, relief , relief. Seems my philosophical approach earlier, was well timed!...

Today I called in 3 times this morning and was told 2 diffrent things about my case. when i questioned why expedite was denied i was told because once its doing background checks they can't push the application thru on expedite but that my expedite was approved but it won't start to expedite until background checks comes back. Now i received email stating expedite was denied ???? also questioned email about service request was told they are working on september 11, 2010 applications to give it up to 60 days. When i called back again was able to talk to tier 3 very nice guy that went ahead and let me put in another service request thank you, he also didn't understand why the confusion on the emails on their computer expedite was approved. will update as soon as i receive more info. patience is what i need. Don't give up if u dont get the answer you want to hear call back as i did and was lucky enough to get to tier 3.

On 03/17/2011 I received this email in regards to request to expedite case.

The status of this service request is: Your request for expeditious processing is denied. The processing of your petition or application has been delayed. All petitions or applications received by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are required to have routine security checks that are resulting in delays of the adjudication of petitions or applications. We can give no definite indication of when they will be completed. We apologize for the delay.

On 03/21/2011 I received today this email in regards to service request

Type of service requested:-- Outside Normal Processing Times The status of this service request is: Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter.

Keep trying to put in a service request. It took me a couple of calls to finally get someone that went ahead and did the request. It took me 1 week and finally today it payed off.

Hello Everyone i've been keeping an eye on the forum. Im glad to see many have received their Noa 2. As of today March 7 i was able to put in a service request with uscis. I will update my Status if any changes occur.
