  1. Hello colleagues,

After so long of a waiting and gone thru so much of papers and reviewing so many post my fiancee got approved the visa. My question is how does it work at the airport? Is it like consulate style interview or just simply handing over the package to them and they just get the finger prints and let her in?

I can't find any review at the washington dulles airport and just wondering anything you guys knows about this airport?

We just want to be done with this process and get on with our lives as i know how much of paper works we have submitted and , checks, and rest of the stuff.

    Thanks much for your help!

  2. Hello:

I just did my taxes as my fiancee will have the interview soon and wanted to be ready with most updated taxes. It appears that i have to pay about 4.5K in taxes for both Fed & State. I am not in a position to pay them upfront but planning to pay them with an installment plan. Is this cause any troubles with Embassy?

Any insight will be very helpful.

    Thanks a lot!

  3. Hello:

Thank you for this site. I am the US Citizen & my fiancee will have the interview soon. I/We have drafted following letter to the embassy. Please let me know such a letter is a good way of submitting the evidence of engagement: Thank you so very much!

    Dear Honorable Consulate:

    Re: Evidence of engagement

We are writing with reference to the evidence of engagement supports required with the fiancée visa application.

It is not traditional to have an engagement party when two people are committed to each other to get married according to Bangladeshi culture. Regardless of cultural normality, we both didnt want to have a party to celebrate our engagement due to the fact that we both had big weddings with our previous wife/husband & being ended up disastrously and most of all with a frustration knowing nothing good would turn up at the end. What is most important for us is to have each other for the rest of our lives knowing that we found the exact other half of us & love & to have a wonderful marriage & a family of our own.

Therefore, we decided to include our commitment letters noting our commitment to marry each other. Also we have included a copy of the letter we sent to USCIS with our initial application of describing how we met & have included a copy of the receipt of the engagement ring.

Please, let us know of any other information you wish to require from us for the processing of our fiancée visa application.

    Many, many thanks

    Sincerely,
