  1. Hi! I

We sent our application for lifting of condition at CSC, last week, Wednesday, March 19, USPS tracking indicated that it was delivered on March 21. However check has not been cashed yet and no email or NOA has been sent to tell me that they do really have it :( I tried calling thru the call center but I was told to call if it has been 30days and no NOA yet... Should I begin to worry that it's been a week since they receieved it and no indication of receipt?

Will I receive an email? When will the check be cashed? Or am I just being paranoid?

    Thank you!

  2. Its the same form letter they've been sending to everyone who opens a service request lately. We got the same thing a few weeks ago, and still no green card. Does this look familiar? "committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints"

Which translates to your case should be in a box, we're not going to check though because we're busy. Leave us alone and eventually we might find your case and do it.

Yes, that does look familiar :( I received a letter that says exactly that!

We've opened a request from our Congressman's office here in Indiana too, and the information they got was that my case is now under an officer and that I will receive a notice within 45 days... My EAD/AP expires in October, come July, if I don't hear anything yet, then it's time to renew those...

So it looks like a lot of cases are similar to mine. What else can we do? It gets really frustrating...

  3. Thanks you guys! We're sending the request to the congressman today! Oh my gosh! This is really crazy! I don't know what's going on.. now we may have to renew my EAD/AP since I'm working and it will expire in October...

They sent me a reply with our recent visit to the USCIS Indianapolis, and they created a service request for us... The letter from CSC said that they will act on my application in an 'expeditious fashion', but still depending on 'resource constraints'.. so they mean, when someone is available - AND I DON'T KNOW WHEN THAT WILL BE. Frankly, I'm not even sure if the letter is telling any truth in it.. but I'm hoping it is... I'm already checking the status everyday, since we received that letter, but I dno't see how they're acting in an 'expeditious fashion'. LOL

Thanks guys, keep me posted! and I will with mine!

  4. Hi Guys!

We got married in July, and filed for AOS / EAD / Advance Parole in August. I got my EAD and AP approved in October (valid for a year), and I currently have a job. However, my Adjustment of Status has not yet been approved. I'm concerned because a lot have been approved who filed WAAAAYYY after we did, but were not transferred, and my EAD/AP will expire soon... We have been to the Indiana USCIS office to follow-up and they said it's still with CSC, and they have sent follow-up, once we got a letter from CSC that they will approve within 45 days, but it has been 4 mos since we got that and still no movement...

Anything we can do? Please help... Thank you!

  5. Hi guys,

We're going to the Philippines end of April. We're still waiting on my green card, but I have the Work Authorization / advanced parole card, and my name on there is my married name (with my husband's last name). We haven't renewed my passport yet because that doesn't expire until 2017, but we will renew it once I get my greencard.

I know we will have to carry a copy of our marriage license with us, but other than that, would there be an issue? And in the tickets, my name should be what's on the advance parole card, right?

    Thanks for all your responses!

  6. Ok, talked to a USCIS supervisor visa the USCIS number, and the reason why I can't see status in my case status in uscis website is because there's a bug and they can't fix it because of budget constraints - something to do with the budget issue that's been going on in Washington - but she gave me an update on my case...

Oh, the hassle of waiting 30 min to speak to her, just to get a status update, as compared to less than a minute of typing receipt numbers in the website and getting it flashed on your screen right away

But I'm still thankful I figured out how to get to a representative and get some answers than sit here and wonder what's going on :star:

  7. Honey&Bee, the same happens to me, so don't worry in 24 hours o less you can see you case in the web

Thanks for the reply Dayana&Luis! Still can't check our status in the web!!! It's been almost 2 weeks since our NOA date (date received Aug 16, Notice Date Aug 26).. Arrrggghhhh what's going on?!

Anyway, we walked in the Indianapolis immigrations office last Friday, Sept 9, even though I had the appointment for Sept 27 supposedly :D They took my biometrics and didn't even tell me I was there early :P hehehe... Goodluck to everyone! :star:

  8. Friends, we got our NOA in the mail, along with the bio appointment :-) It came as a surprise because they never sent me a text or an email! :-) Thank You Lord!

I have a few questions though, I tried to check my case status using the receipt number in the NOAs (AOS, EAD or AP), but it doesn't show up! Mine starts with MSC, any of you guys encounter this too? I tried to call USCIS 1 800 375 5283, but there are a lot of options in there and I can't seem to press the right options to speak to a representative...

Any input would be appreciated! Thank you! :)

  9. Hi everyone,

I am on a K-1 visa. 2 Days after I got here, we went to the Social Security Office to get me a number. That was June 17. After 2 months, they still could not provide me with one! We even had to drop by their office - AGAIN, 2 weeks ago, because they needed photocopies of the documents (passport, I-94, and visa) we provided the first time I went there, because apparently they could not locate them anymore.. They say they're sending it out to DHS (?) because they could not verify me through their system, and they've already sent it out and still waiting for a response, then they would call me back to let me know..

It's really frustrating because it's been almost 2 months and this was THE VERY FIRST THING we did for my AOS since I got here, and we've been wed, got the I-693 completed, and just waiting for our marriage license and then supposedly GOOD TO GO to submit my AOS.. Question is, DO I NEED TO WAIT FOR MY SSN BEFORE SENDING OUT THE PAPERS? I know the required forms for K1 Adjustment of Status say 'IF ANY', but I just wanted to make sure... Don't wanna have to send the AOS and then receive an RFE because of that..

PLEASE HELP.. If I can do anything, call another government sector to expedite my SSN or what, please let me know..

Thanks in advance to those who give out their advice :)

  10. I was asked that during my embassy interview, and I answered, ' Our plans about the wedding are not final. However, we are aware of the 90-day limit from the day I arrive in the US, so we're planning a wedding 30-45 days from the time I enter the US to plan a court wedding that's simple, yet memorable for both of us' :)

HE looked at me and nodded hihihi.. :star:

  11. We were in a similar situation a month ago - wanting to cancel our petition. Thankfully, we worked things out - it was just some drama on our side from stress - but we came very close to canceling it all :(

Our petition was already at the embassy. I was told to send (scan/email) a signed statement requesting the petition be withdrawn that included our CIS file number, NVC file number, petitioner's full name, beneficiary's full name, both of our dates of birth, and a brief statement explaining why we wanted the petition withdrawn. Like I said, we were able to turn things around before the petition was actually withdrawn - but in your case, if it's for sure that you want it withdrawn - contact NVC as soon as possible. They will probably have you send them a signed statement as well - but since most fiancee visa petitions are in and out of NVC in a matter of days - make sure it's still there. I called NVC too and they told me that since our petition was already at the embassy, they had nothing to do with it anymore. If that's your situation as well, you'll need to contact the embassy.

    Good luck to you guys!

WOW! I read your post when you were asking about how to withdraw, and yes I was also close to tears!!! :D SOOOOOO happy things worked out for you and that you're getting there!

Goodluck on the rest of your journey! :star:

  12. I can only say what I know was given to my friend (who just went though this w/ her laywer)

You can work for your FOREIGN employer still. I know he is still paid in GBP into his British bank account.

Once he gets his EAD, he is legally allowed to work for the company here in the US and be paid in USD.

Yes, that is what we were thinking, I will still be paid with the same currency, from the same company I am currently be working for here in the Philippines, but once I get my EAD, they will absorb me and be paid USD and I will technically resign from my company here..

Thanks everyone for your input. They are working on it, and whatever the outcome is really just bonus for us - being together is the ultimate GOAL and TRIUMPH :star:
