Went to get my social security number yesterday and the lady said it will be submitted on the 10th day after my entry, that's when Immigrations submit what they got from me at POE, then another 2 weeks for it to be mailed to me... Does that mean we can't get married until then? Hehe..

@ whipappeal1506,u can apply ur SSN at SSA office at ur area/city- fill up the for SS5- check the site socialsecurityoffice, just bring ur passport/with I-194 attached on it.if u will file it b4 ur I-194 xpired it will be under ur maiden name but that number given to u will ur lifetime #. just bring it back once u have ur GC..its vary's per state some will accept marraige contract & they can issue a card under ur married name. goodluck!
