  1. Hi friends, I need some Help on US B1/B2 Visa ( ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS ), Can Anyone give Complete information about this, Specially those who have Experience of it.

1 - What are the Chances of getting Visa if someone is given ( ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS ) ?

2 - What kind of Inquiries can be held During this Process ?

3 - How Long it can Take ?

4 - Do We Need to Contact the Consulate to ask them wether they need any document or anything ?

5 - is it true that Visa is Confirmed if they Keep Passport for Admisintrative Process ? I will be very Thankful if someone Provide Helpful Information,

PLEASE NOTE That CO did not see any of my Document, Not even a single paper, Interview was Good, He Talk About my Previous Travel History, My Friend who sent me Invitation, About My Family, in the end He give me a Paper & ask me to write my Brother & sister's Names & my Daughter Name on it, & then He Keep my Passport & give me a white Paper Mentioned 221g Administrative Processing, Hope Everything is Fine :(

    Thanking you all in Advance.

It does look good if they kept your passport. Tourist visas are denied frequently, so the fact that you are in AP means they more information to approve. this could be a background check, investigation, etc. Unfortunately, there is no time limit or average time for AP. It could be a few weeks, or a year or more. Every case is different, so if they havent gathered the information they need yet, you will be in AP until they do. No, you do not need to contact the consulate. They say do not contact them during AP. They usually will not even reply to an email about AP.

    Hope this helps!

  2. K-3 is not longer Valid it will not proceed from NVC stage it takes longer than I-130. the fastest petition is K-1 i got my interview and 5 and half Months from day one but in order to Apply for i-129f you need to know each other for 2 years of time and met.You do not need to know each other for 2 years, you need to have met each other within the last 2 years. because USCIS will ask for evidence between you people met like Passport stamps Boarding passes and etc since you got married K-1 is no longer valid now.RFE means when you send your petition to USCIS. if the officer thinks you don't have sufficient Proof to show your relationship whether in the form of documents or pictures they will send a letter to Petitioner saying them to send more evidence that is called RFE. you must got to pakistan get married make sure you have your nikkahnama registered from Nadra.

  3. First off I didn't mean the marrage won't happen it will, I meant the k-1 visa isn't going to happen. She can't answer questions about my job anyway since I don't have one. And lets face it being a union carpenter and working for different companies just doesn't seem to fit this mold, so I would have to find a new career which will start out low paying, although I think a minimum wage job would be enough to pass the 125% of poverity or close to it. And if I'm over there we will be together and won't care as much about how long this takes. She thinks she can get me a job teaching English over there, and she can keep her job as a graphic designer which she would have to give up until she gets that green card thing, if she moved here.

I already wrote her an e-mail telling her to look into different idea's, but I'm thinking I will head over and spend a month there and test the water, then come home either sale my house, then go get married and apply for the different visa that lets me have a co-sponser. I think I have 5 years before I lose my american citizenship, right?

Or find a different job here but its very frustrating to have to give up a $30 dollar hour job that is "off and on" for a $10 an hour steady job. I have already tried this because it bugged me to not be working full time, but I made less with the steady job then I did with the higher paying "off and on" job.

One way or the other we will be together just don't know which country LOL!!!

But what do I need to do here to get married over there?

No, you will not lose your citizenship no matter how long you stay outside of the US.

  4. Pregnancy is not a reason for expedite, however there may be other reasons you can look into. I was also told an expedite was not possible, but i tried and got it approved because the gate of our housing in pakistan was bombed. i had to send proof, but it did not take long. how is the political climate in your area? it is well known pakistan is not a safe place, maybe going this route will prove successful with pregnancy not being a valid reason. im not saying make stuff up or exaggerate the situation, but look into it. trying fr expedite will not harm your case, so it will not hurt to try.

Do not get offended by statements made by others here. I know how trying and emotional it can be. VJ is very helpful, but is not the place for warm fuzzy feelings. It is a place where you will get straight, to the point info that is not sugar coated. At times, we do need this dose of reality.

  5. Even if that's the case and most people are out to scam the USC, everyone should be treated with basic human dignity (innocent until proven guilty?). Too many stories I read here on VJ, they treat them like #######, as though they are dirt. Like Americans are superior to foreigners. That is wrong.

My husband said his interviewer was an older guy was was quite nice. He said he wanted to approve us, but he needed information about how my trips were paid for first because I had no income and that was his only concern. I was a little upset because I wasn't sure how I could prove it, but I figured out how to and 2 weeks after we sent that, we got the visa!

  6. In our case, the CO did question where the money for my trips to Pakistan came from and it took me about 2 months after interview to find documentation to satisfy the request. They want to make sure that the petitioner is not receiving payment from the beneficiary's side for a visa. You may need to prove where the money came from like i did. Also, dating before a legal separation may cause a red flag. I was not legally divorced when I met my husband, but I was legally separated. Be very prepared!

  7. [On July 13, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Yep! That's your petition approval! You should get NOA2 in the mail shortly! CONGRATS!

  8. hi sister

    dont be too much worried

im in same position i m married to us citizen and i applied for tourist visa

    i get denied

after this my husband applied for me ir1 visa

i was scared too and i was crying too much

all peopel here say i will get denied and bla bla

    let me tell u

u didnt do big crime and us ambassy are not stupid lot of people do this and its not big crime

my husband went to see lawyer for amigration in usa and she said no worry this happen all time and all people do

she say now we r doing right thing and if our marriage is real one we will be fine

u r not the only one

and u will not get denied

dont listen to people here they only scare eachother and give advice and information from google

if they give u tourist visa and u went to usa and u over stayed there after u applied thats will need waiver but now u will be fine and u will see

i wish u good luch and pray for us

    good luck

No, we dont try to scare each other, we try to help. Also, we don't search google, all of this comes from the experience of others. pakistan is a very tough place to get a visa, they can, and will scrutinize every detail. she should be prepared for this. this is not a joke to lie on a visa application or interview.

  9. Yes, the certificate issues by NADRA should be in urdu and english. It seems she has obtained the right one. I dont know about the arbitration council stamp, but maybe someone else on here does. Good luck!

(edit note: please update your timeline as well. it helps you keep track of things, helps others, and helps others help you!)

  10. What did you cite as reason for expedite? We expedited on humanitarian grounds. It was approved and got NOA2 30 days from NOA 1. In total, with the expedite, from NOA1 to interview took 5 months, with the visa issued 2 months after interview... so in total 7 1/2 months start to finish. Even with an expedite, september seems unlikely. The NVC process can take 2 months give or take, scheduling an interview- 1-3 months after that. Also, men from MENA countries have a high chance of AP, which can take a year or more

  11. NADRA does issue marriage and birth certificates. I am not sure how to get it because we had the original certificate that we signed in urdu.

If you complete your profile, showing your country, your post will go to the pakistan portal and i know you will get more response to this question because it is pakistan specific. i know many people who have used and obtained the NADRA certificate.
