  1. Check restrictions..can't send jewelry or even COSTUME jewelry to Russia...maybe Ukraine....look at Fed EX and UPS for restrictions....even USPS has restrictions....it is a ####### shoot otherwise. They would not even let me send tea without complete documents. Customs forms for post are required for USPS and they may be stopped at the border. We were hassled at St. Pete airport for something stupid...and it was obvious that the security wanted the item...but we were able to give it to a friend with us to hold on till the next time we were back. Good luck

  2. Ah-ha....now you're talking.....you got photos of kombucha (mushroom tea), milk kefir, and lastly water kefir....cool....I got 'em all and the wife was surprised )))) Had them for years and some people like them ....some don't..... kombucha also known as GRIB...wife's grandmother always had this around.....but I like it better bottled with ginger or blueberries.....kombucha cleans the liver out big time....

  3. If it is mushroom, maybe salted mushrooms from the forest...but most likely you would not be drinking the brine...then again..who knows....but if it is milk...it could be KEFIR...I make this myself and the Russian wife loves it...the culture looks like a booger or squishy translucent mushroom. Kefir does not need to be refrigerated, but needs to be refreshed every couple of days. Plain or mixed with fruit...its all good....if made properly it can be like effervescent yoghurt or a basic yoghurt drink.....real caucasus kefir grains last FOREVER....I got photos if you think it is the same....kefir has more than 20 beneficial cultures than regular yoghurt and can prevent e.coli....

  4. Dogspot, YEEEE HAWWWW.....congrats to Katya....we had so much fun with her in Coronado.....hope you guys are well....I will tell Elena today ))))

Good Luck !!!! Colors are amazing In MI right now... JAI!!!!!

My wife had her first job interview last Friday and was hired yesterday, three weeks after receiving her EAD card. She will be working for a large corporation here in downtown San Diego as a CSR/accounts receivable clerk. She is incredibly excited to find a position that will allow her to improve her language skills and demonstrate the skills she learned back in Russia here in America.

  5. Ahhh...haaaa...told ya you would get it.... I did not think we would get it but soooo nice to be rescheduled a month ahead. My fiancee will be her next Friday night  otherwise her original interview was May 13. So glad you have a new date and best of luck to you

  6. I second that...after my post....I was thinking #######...you are worried about money.....you'll never make it.....the commitment is more that meeting people on the internet......you gotta pay to play....with websites to send personal IMs you gotta pay....ant then there is the travel....and if you are serious...cough up the dough for this whole crazy K1 thing...and another chunk for AOS....and it is not always easy.....and I am not sure what girls especially like cheap guys.....but good luck

Not to be a killjoy, but if your friend is worrying about how much money this process will cost him, before he even starts, then I would suggest this method isn't for him. There's nothing wrong with being aware of scams, excessive fees and the like; but this process isn't cheap and IMO expense shouldn't be the first thing on your mind, but how to achieve the best results should; regardless of cost.

  7. Hey all, I know driving has been a topic of conversation here before, but I was curious if anyone had any huge problems teaching their SO how to drive. At first my fiancee said 'Oh, I 'll just take the bus !' Not an option. So, I have been looking at cars and all the necessary steps to get her behind the wheel, but was curious if anyone had any cultural learning experiences with this process. I think it will be fun fixing the car and watching the insurance go sky high.. J/K...but I am kinda excited because she has never been behind the wheel of a car.....and after this video....my wheels started turning...hmmmmmm...any tips or advice?

  8. Have her call and ask to have them get a copy of the 3025 ready for her to pick up at the medical facility. This will be needed for the AOS and for use by the CS to transcribe the records onto the I-693 document.

To the other poster.....it is highly recommended that you send in BOTH the 3025 AND the 693 with transcription of that by the CS for your AOS filing. Some have sent in only the 3025 and been approved and many others have pulled an RFE and had to get the 693. By my count it runs 50-50. We sent in both and had no RFEs.

Thanks for the answers....crystal clear now :)

  9. Sorry, but I want to be sure my fiancee asks for the right documents....she should ask for a translation of I-693 and ask for a copy of the document 3025? and should this be translated also? Sorry, but just a bit confused....if she asks for the 3025, will she receive it at the medical office that day?...she want to return to Petersburg after the interview and receive the visa and leave after it is in her hand and doesn't want to wait for any more crazy things.....thanks for any help
