  1. My husband had his Spouse Visa interview end of September 2012 in which he was asked to provide some further documentation and was told that embassy need some further processing. And once that documents are received and processing finished he will be contacted to submit his passport.

He did send those documents in the first week of November however now its almost 3 months he has not been contacted and when he called today he has come to know that they contact via email and he explained that he has an old Hotmail account where he receive 100s of junk email and he just want to know if embassy tried to contact him or not and the embassy representative said no they cannot give any type of update.

No our worry is if we have lost their emails in junk what would happen – would they write a letter or close our case or what we can do.

Is there some good lawyer in UK which we could use.

I would really appreciate a response to this as we are really worried now 

  2. I am sorry guys i am reposting this question after struggling a lot, someone suggested me to call 09042450100 and get the code for email correspondence which i did however that phone number and the code i got is for Consular Information Unit US Embassy who has nothing to do with USCIS.

I dont know what is DCF, i filled all the requirements of I-130 because i think this is the way For citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States to establish the relationship to certain alien relatives who wish to immigrate to the United States.

I really appreciate all the help given by people but please dont send me any wrong information.

Thanks in anticipation for all who would help us.

Since then I kept emailing on uscis.london@dhs.gov asking for receipt of my documents and no body responded to my emails after 7-8 emails I got a response (end of July) stating that we requested you documents in March and we have not received those documents by now.

I told them I have already sent you and requested you so many times of receipt and you did not bother to respond to my emails and they sent me a response stating that it has been so long therefore we suggest you to send them again.

I did send all the documents in first week of September again and emailed them RoyalMail delivery receipt as well.

Since then I am sending them reminders almost every week and they are again not bothered to respond to my emails.

Can anyone please advise what shall I do in this frustrating situation.

  3. People can't help you because your question is vague and you don't even have a timeline. Did you file for your wife or another family member? Did you send the I-130 to USCIS in London because you live in the UK with your wife(DCF)? Or did you send the I-130 to USCIS in Chicago because you live in the US?

    Okay here are the details:

Documents sent to USCIS London office because we both live in London - 20th November 2011

NO Ack Letter recieved however got a letter in March 2011 asking for few more documents, Affidavit from friends/family, copy of marriage certificate, Daughter's birth certificate.

If you need any further details please let me know and i am more than happy to provide.

  6. I applied for my husband in UK USCIS on 12th of November and looking at their website they have reached 12th November.

Just want to know how much time would it take as my husband is planning to do some contract work in Australia therefore it would't be easy to come back again and again for visa.

Just want to know what would be the next and how much time would it take to process this in full.

  8. Dear All

I applied for my husband i-130 in London USCIS Field office and the first letter we recieved says about change of address:

    Address change – If the U.S. citizen petitioner’s and/or beneficiary’s address changes;

the U.S. citizen is responsible for sending a signed letter of the address change to this

office at the address listed on the heading of this notice.

Just want to know where i can find that form in order to change my address.

  9. I am a US citizen living with my husband in UK. I applied for his immigration visa in November 2010 using I-130 petition and sent to US embassy in London on address given on their website which is:

    USCIS Field Office

    American Embassy (DHS/USCIS)

    Post Office Box 2444

    London W1A 5WT

Till today they have not even deducted the payment from credit card and we are really worried if they have lost our documents somewhere. I have sent several emails to scslondon@state.gov asking if they have received my documents however every time i get a standard response saying call this number 09042-450-100 and i could not speak to anyone on this number, it looks like it’s just an IVR and answer to my question is not available on IVR.

Please help me, shall i reapply if yes then on which address or do i need to wait more
