  1. We were in a similar situation half a year ago. Did not want to compromise fiancé's Schengen admittance in the future by lying risking overstaying. Emailed every embassy that is visa free for Russians, everyone says the US embassy service is for citizens or residents of that country only. Only Jerusalem agreed to take the case, and they didn't have appointments for many months. People on here been saying Bangkok agrees to take you if you are on a student visa as well. Good luck.
  2. Hi guys, this is the freshest topic I found on sending money to Russia. Are there still ways to wire transfer that you could advise? Or is it only crypto at the moment?
  3. Same here. I emailed Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Thailand, Mongolia...my senator... Jerusalem is the only place that agreed to take the Warsaw transfer without residence. They are saying they don't know how long the transfer will take, as they are not operating a normal schedule, and that the medical will have to be done there. Totally get how you feel. Good luck.
  4. Bangkok consulate was the one I emailed some months ago, asking them if I could transfer my case there (with the student visa). They replied that I should inquire with them through a different email address. So, when I email "support-Poland", instead of "support-Thailand" @ustraveldocs I still get the reply about "send your question to this email", and it's clearly a Bangkok consulate email, the exact same message I have received before, but now I am asking a different consulate about a different thing, and the whole body of my new message, being sent to a different email address, within the same website domain, is asking about Poland. Yet I still get the same reply about Bangkok. I have no idea how is this even possible, it's a different email address, for a different consulate. Now I am confused about how do I ever contact Poland, to make sure they got the package and on how to proceed.
  5. I don't want a transfer. I want to contact the Poland embassy. I am unable to, through this email I provided above. I am wondering if anyone had this issue before and how they solved it, or, if there are other ways to contact them. I might try to phone them, or maybe use a different email... it's just very weird and confusing, what happened there. According to ceac.state.gov, "please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment." - do you know if it will come in mail, or in email? How long is the average wait for that, as it's been over a month it being "ready" and at least 3 months since they informed me they are sending the package to Poland?
  6. Do you know where to find this invoice number? And so, my question is, how do I contact the Poland consulate that they sent the package to? NVC says the case is ready for the interview, at the Poland consulate. I email them at support-poland@ustraveldocs but somehow keep getting the same response I got when I contacted support-thailand@ustraveldocs, all about Bangkok. I need to reach Poland now, they have the case. I email the right address, but get the response as if I keep emailing Bkk.
  7. I have an unusual question perhaps. I have been trying to contact multiple embassies in regards to a transfer request a while ago, while the case was still at the NVC, but to no avail. Anyway, I checked the NVC website, and it says that the case is "ready for the interview". However, I need to pay fees and submit docs, so I go to ceac.state.gov and it says I need "invoice ID", which is I have no idea what is about, and I suppose I should just wait for it to come in mail/email eventually. Anyway, I asked the NVC about it, hope they will clarify. So, I also emailed the Polish embassy to confirm whether they have received the package, and maybe get some instructions on how and where to proceed. The email I have for them is support-poland@ustraveldocs, which is a common domain with most of them, but I somehow keep getting replies about the last consulate I contacted - Bangkok. This completely baffles me. I have emailed the address above more than once, I absolutely send it to the correct email address. However, I keep getting the same response about Bangkok. What is going on? How do I reach the Polish embassy? Please help 🙏
  8. Actually no, we are still waiting for the Welcome Letter from the NVC, got the USCIS notification letter over two months ago. I asked around some consulates around the globe where a Russian can enter visa-free, everyone says the beneficiary has got to have at least 6-month residence permit in the country of the interview. Haven't emailed Israel yet. My representative just quoted me the same exact thing the NVC said, your beneficiary's got to have ties to the country of the interview. Unless it's Poland that gives out no tourist visas to Russians at all. They assign Russian K visa interviews to Poland, but F visa beneficiaries are assigned to Kazakhstan - why, and why can't I transfer there even if I plead with them to? Having read on here that they assigned Georgia consulate no questions asked to an American & Russian tourists married in Georgia, I feel so disheartened. We can't even just forget our silly wedding plans and quickly register here just to unlock the local embassy building for the interview, being background checked and approved by USCIS, it will have to be done all over again. I will email the person that BenNomad advised above, also some other consulates, we'll see if anything positive comes out of it.
  9. To anyone reading this topic, just got a number from the NVC (no letter in the mail yet, we've received the USCIS notice Jul 11, I emailed them for this...) with Warsaw listed as the embassy, saying that because he is not resident of either Turkey or Georgia they cannot assign the case there. I will email the embassies around, on a chance they will take us... otherwise I just don't know what to do. It's either this, or he has to go to Russia to apply for Schengen visa, with an extremely high risk of being drafted, as they take anyone these days, the border control just hands you a paper saying that you can't leave and have to report to the military office. Furthermore, Poland does not issue tourist visas to Russians, so he would have to lie to Greece, and then use it as transit point, meanwhile hoping two weeks they gave out for his tourism will be enough. I will also write to my representative/senator, although I am a California resident so highly skeptical about it even being read by anyone at all. Overall, I regret that we haven't chosen the spousal visa, just gotten married anywhere just to get the bureaucracy going, this way one of us could get a digital nomad visa somewhere and bring family along so we could at least hang somewhere securely while we wait for them to process the papers for years.
  10. Huh, interesting, thanks. I guess the only way to update it at this stage is to wait for the NVC to receive the package? At the moment we are waiting for the Welcome Letter, it's soon two months since we received the i-797 from USCIS. When I emailed the embassy here they said they are only interviewing Georgian and Azerbaijani citizens/residents. Interesting how this works.
  11. We have put down Ankara initially as out consulate over a year ago when I filed the K petition. My fiance ia a Russian male, so there was no option to do the interview in his home country from the get go, also he’s been waiting for the visa hanging around the world, due to the possibility of getting drafted if he waited back home. Now, he’s been in Georgia for a while, and we are about to be at the NVC stage, so I messaged the Georgia US embassy and they said their visa services are only for the local residents. Are there any Russians who are not taking the Warsaw route with no residence in other countries - where do you do the interview? Anyone a third country citizen doing the interview at the Ankara embassy successfully? To apply for a Schengen visa he would have to travel to Russia, risking getting drafted/not allowed to leave. Also I hate the idea to lie all the way starting with fake bookings, because the entrance country would not be Poland, of course, and then hope the 1-2 weeks window they give is enough for everything. So I think this route is a narrow gamble also substantially more expensive and I would really avoid it if at all possible. Just want to look into potential options if Ankara turns us down at some point as well.
