This happened to my husband and we filed a mandamus lawsuit after 4 months of AP. All his background checks were magically cleared after 1 day of all government parties being legally served. The language of my lawsuit cites (among other things of course) an old Bush era policy that puts Iranians on a list of countries that go through administrative red tape to slow down the immigration process. It’s called CARRP and it’s straight up discrimination. All that aside, I highly recommend you connect with a mandamus lawyer. A lot of folks on this site will talk against it but those people are not Iranian and don’t know how different the rules are for our people. I wish you luck and light getting through this.
