Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recent timelines for Employment  based immigrant visas especially EB1/EB2 at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
My case was documentarily qualified DQ on March 20, 2026, and I’m still waiting for the interview letter from NVC.

Has anyone with a similar DQ date recently received an interview appointment from Cairo?

Would really appreciate if you could share:
Visa category (EB1 / EB2 / etc.)
DQ date
Interview letter date
Interview date  if scheduled
Thank you and good luck to everyone

You should have had an IL by now if you're eligible. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/iv-wait-times.html

What's your category, country of birth and Priority Date?

Which one? You should have had an IL according to the link above, which is usually pretty accurate. So I'd submit an enquiry to NVC.

But I assume you know you can't get a visa at the moment as Egypt is on the country visa ban list?

Yeah I know about the ban yes .. i just wanna finish the interview and will take it from there .. thxx in advise bro ... any idea how to submit this inquiry ?

I'm not a bro. 😜

Just bear in mind that if you do the interview, you'll likely have other pay for another medical as well, as it will have expired by the time the ban is lifted. So you may not want to rush to interview, but your call.

Submit an enquiry to NVC if you do want to chase it up, point out that their own tool says they were scheduling April 2026 so you seem to have been skipped. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html?wcmmode=disabled

And just checking, but you have been keeping an eye on your spam/junk email folders? Just in case you have had the IL but it's gone in to there.

Haha sorry 😄

Yes I'm checking my spam daily just in case but nothing so far

And you’re right regarding the medical but  I wanna to complete the interview stage and its good to have some extra medical checkups after 😂

Thanks again for your advice

much appreciated
