We got F3 visa stamped at the airport (Parent sponsor a child’s family). 2 weeks later, we got a letter for biometrics appointment for greencard. Based on others cases, F3 visa do not get another biometrics appointment because they already collect it at the consulate. Does anyone know about this situation? Did USCIS make a mistake?

It’s perfectly normal, just means they need something re-doing. My daughter had to do the same, apparently her photo wasn’t good enough so she had to have it re-taken.
