I was hit with a Request for Initial Evidence for both Wife and Stepchild. The yellow letter is stating my income may not qualify. I’m a 1099 self employed person, I disclosed some assets thinking that would suffice, however it seems it did not. I’ve since gotten 2 friends willing to joint sponsor so I have a few questions on how to reply to this RFE so it doesn’t come back around.

1. when submitting the joint sponsors I-864, should I resubmit my I-864 as well?

2. I have a cryptocurrency portfolio worth approximately $70,000. Would that help if I disclose on an updated I-864, and what’s the best way to do that?

3. Can anyone point me to a step-by-step guide on the best way to reply to this RFE

4. Can I use one friend to joint sponsor on my wife’s I-864 form, and the other friend to joint sponsor on my stepson’s affidavit?

5. Which is better, uploading the joint sponsor’s affidavit or mailing?

Thank you guys for being my support over the years.
