Good afternoon all,

I have been DQ'd since 16th April this year, long story very short I was able to file an expedite request on urgent business grounds and this has since been approved by the NVC and then subsequently the US Embassy in London. I was notified on 25th June that my application has been fully transferred to the London Embassy and my case status on CEAC as of the 27th June now shows as "Ready" (there now also appears to be an 01-04 on there which I assume is my wife and childrens applications).

Now, the question I have, has anyone else done this before, or does anyone have any indications of how long from this point might it take for an expedite request to be processed to an IL?

Hello

Did you get an update on this? Did you schedule an interview yourself or embassy Did?

Looks like OP has an interview scheduled at end of September, if you check his/her timeline. It probably would have been a bit quicker if the quota wasn't about to be reached, but they have presumably scheduled it for then as no visas will be able to be issued until the new fiscal year anyway. So probably no different to a non expedited case would have been.

Edit: looks like you're EB3? So yours would be very different, you'd need the company to make a case for an expedite (versus the OP who's self petitioning). What's your PD and are you 'normal' EB3 or other workers? If you could fill your timeline in as well that would be super helpful, thanks.

Oh i thought i already filled my timeline

My PD is feb 2023 and DQ April 2025 and I'm EB3 skilled from london embassy. My employer have just asked for my case to be expedited. Not sure how the process works, how  soon  will i likely get an interview date? Will I have to schedule an appointment myself or the embassy does that

Your employer will need to make a case for it to be expedited. NVC schedules your interview, as per the usual website - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html. If you have any other questions do start a new thread and somebody will be happy to help I'm sure. Good luck.

Hello

Did you get an update on this? Did you schedule an interview yourself or embassy Did?

Apologies @syvvs not had chance to reply any earlier than today! So, long story short, with my expedite request, i was supposed to be registered on the AIS portal and scheduling the interview myself as soon as CEAC showed ready, however, neither the NVC or the Embassy instructed me to do so!

I waited around 4 weeks for the Embassy to schedule as the letter from the NVC i received by expedite approval suggested thats what would happen, and when id received nothing just on the off chance I emailed the visa unit at the London Embassy to establish how much longer I would be waiting considering it was supposed to be expedited. It took them 5 days to respond but they eventually did and told me i needed to schedule myself; as you can imagine, I wasnt a happy bunny, id waited 5 weeks and missed out on ample interview opportunities (the earliest one that was showing once I noticed my CEAC status had changed to ready was 14th August).

The 30th September had nothing to do with visa availability, it was more that it was just the next available date for interview on the AIS portal (i missed out by a day on an earlier one on the 16th Sept)!

Medicals are booked two weeks before, and not entirely sure about visa availability as @appleblossom has eluded to, but given my interview is the last day of Sept, i dont anticipate there being much of a wait for a visa to be issued post interview either way (being the refresh date is 1st October).
