Anyone Successfully Imported a Lexus to the U.S. Without a Compliance Letter (Post-2023)?

I’m planning to move to the U.S. on a TN visa and looking to import my Lexus. The vehicle has both TPMS and the EPA emissions label, but unfortunately, Lexus Canada has stopped issuing compliance letters since 2023.

 

I know it’s still possible to import the car, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve gone through this process recently:

 

  • Did you use a Registered Importer (RI)?
  • How much did it cost, including modifications and paperwork?
  • Were any physical changes or compliance upgrades required?
  • How long did the whole process take from start to finish?

 

 

Any advice, experiences, or recommendations would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance!
