Hi all, is anyone able to tell me when the London embassy will next issue IR1 interview appointments? From what I understand, they only release the appointments once a month? We were DQ'd on May 19. Many thanks

It’s NVC that issues the letters, not the consulate, but there’s no set time. You’re correct, IL’s are usually sent once a month, generally towards the end of the month but it can vary and be the beginning or middle of the month particularly around holiday times.

My guess is you’ve missed the cut off for May but will get an IL in June - that is just a guess though.

Please fill your timeline in when you have a spare few minutes, thanks.

Good luck.

I'm going through London Embassy too. If it helps, I was DQ'd on 16 April and received my interview date confirmation on 23 April. The actual interview at the embassy is set for 16 June.

Also, a heads up regarding a change to the process in London, so you can prepare - you'll get notification of this once you have booked your medical appointment.

You now have your medical, then immediately head over to the embassy for fingerprinting and a review of all your documents.  You then go back two weeks later for your interview.

Thanks @LHK we are still waiting. I’ve not seen any more interview letters released since May 14. Do you mind if I ask what time of day you received your interview appointment email?

If it helps, ours was received overnight, we received it at 1.09am so woke up to find it in our inbox, but others have had it later or earlier.

Please do fill in your timeline to 'pay it forward', thanks.

Thanks @appleblossom I've filled in my timeline ... I've seen that the IV official website scheduling tool says interviews are being scheduled with DQs from May 25, but we were DQ'd on May 19 and we haven't heard anything yet. Does the IV tool mean that while interviews are scheduled, the letters might not have been sent out yet?

I suspect it means that as I guessed above you’ve missed the cut off for May - i.e. they’re scheduling for those DQ’ed before then, letters being sent now are for those in late April and early May.

If you were DQ’ed on 19th May then I think you were too late for a May IL but will get one in June, for a Sept interview.

So not long to wait now. Good luck.
