I’m currently facing a frustrating issue while trying to pay the USCIS immigrant fee for one of the applicants in my case. Out of five applicants, the system is only rejecting one specific Alien Number, even though we have followed all instructions carefully.

Error Details:

When attempting to process the payment, we keep receiving the following error message:
"We could not find the A-Number or Department of State ID you entered. Contact the USCIS Contact Center for assistance."

We have:
Verified that the Alien Number and DOS Case ID were entered correctly
Followed USCIS guidance, including adding a zero where necessary
Tried multiple times over several days, but the issue persists

USCIS Response So Far

I contacted USCIS for support, but they responded that they cannot share information due to privacy regulations. I also missed a call from them (likely due to a time zone difference), and I’ve requested a callback, but I haven’t received one yet.

Urgent Help Needed!

I am scheduled to travel soon and need to resolve this issue quickly. Has anyone else faced a similar problem? If so, how did you resolve it?

Any advice, insights, or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Please comment below or reach out.

You don’t need to pay the fee before you travel, you can do it after you enter the US, so I’d just wait for the call back. There’s no urgency, your endorsed visa will act as a temporary green card for a year after entry so there’s plenty of time to pay the fee and get the plastic card.
