Thanks for the heads up. Have you heard of anyone else getting their IL? I noticed the previous person was DQ'd back in 2024 so not sure if that means people DQ'd in March 2025 will actually get an IL before next month...

Yep, a couple of others. I believe that @Dxstat only became current at the start of the month, so their DQ date being from 2024 isn't as relevant as it would be for you as an EB1 that's been current since being DQ'ed.

IL's are usually only sent on one day (although not all at the same time), so anybody that doesn't get an IL today would usually have to wait until next month. But as I've mentioned before, they do sometimes chuck in an extra set of IL's on another day just to confuse us all! So we can't assume that will be the case.

I want to book a flight for my family to join me for the interview in London from Nigeria. Since the interview is 31st December and there’s a public holiday on the 1st of January.

Is booking a return date of 11th of January ok? I’ll sign up for passport pickup! I hope the passport would be ready by then?

Thank you

Morning - in theory i think it sounds good but i would caution you that there is always the potential to be placed in AP so if you do make any arrangements make sure they are flexible enough that you can remain in London if you were placed in secondary checks for an unknown period of time

Just make sure it’s a flexible flight. If you’re from Nigeria the chances of extended AP are high.

Please after getting the IL, do i need to register my appointment again? Kindly guide me on essentials aside the police character certificate that I’ve kick start, vaccination and passport. Any useful tip would be appreciated.

Also, aside the email from NVC, is it expected that the embassy themselves would reach out?

Didn’t you get a link to the instructions in your interview letter?

Yes, you need to register. Follow the instructions on the usual website (make sure you go to the country specific page as well). You’re at step 10 now -  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html

Nope.

Good luck.
