estimated wait time -interview already scheduled

Hi all, 

I have my interview coming up in 4 days now. I had previously posted that the completion time showed Sept 2021. Last week, it updated to March 2021 which is likely to be accurate b/c my field office doesn't do oaths and relegates the oath to a court house in Kansas City. Based on the oath schedule, I'd either be scheduled for Feb 19th or mid March, assuming I successfully complete the interview. 

However, the system also shows something I'd never seen before but had read about: estimated wait time. It is counting down and now is at 11 days. Unless it's counting down to the inauguration, I am lost as to what this is for.  Is it maybe expecting the oath letter to be sent out a week after my interview, contingent on a successful interview?

Or, is it meaningless? I read that for people awaiting biometrics, it'd show up and then switch to taking more than usual -I'd seen the latter on my case for 9 months, but I must have missed this counter. 

 

All this to ask: did anyone here see this counter when their interview was already pending? if so, did it prove to be of any relevance?

I have my interview this Thursday in Kansas City. My account shows the same thing. Estimated completion March 2021, wait time is 11 days. I have absolutely no idea what that might mean, but given it's not unique, I am not worried about it at all. Good luck to you on your interview!

oh wow we are back to back. Mine is on Wed morning! My guess is that we'll be at the same oath ceremony:) Good luck to you as well on the interview! I'm a bit nervous if I'm honest.

Generally speaking, the estimated wait time doesn't mean much these days.

 

For me, my actual completion time was a few months later than the initial estimated time
