Help N400 Crime and Offenses Section

Hi, I need help to fill Crime and offenses section of N-400. Please help me out. I was arrested in 2015 for petty offense misdemeanor retail theft. The charge was Nolle Prosequi / Charge dismissed after I completed the Deferred Prosecution Program (20 hours community service).

I than expunged that past.

I know I have to mention about any arrest. I never been arrested in my life other than what I mentioned above.

Now I’m filling online form and need help to check if my answers are right or not

NO

 

Have you EVER been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer (including any immigration official or any official of the U.S. armed forces) for any reason?

NO

 

Have you EVER been convicted of a crime or offense?

YES???????

 

Have you EVER been placed in an alternative sentencing or a rehabilitative program (for example, diversion, deferred prosecution, withheld adjudication, deferred adjudication)?

YES

 

Have you EVER received a suspended sentence, been placed on probation, or been paroled?

???  - Judge put me in Deferred Prosecution Program, does it a suspended sentence ??

 

Have you EVER been in jail or prison?

NO

If you served the time that means you were convicted for committing it. So YES! for the Have you EVER been convicted of a crime or offense?

Since you were able to satisfactory complete the 20hr community service, and the case was expunged your case is now clear. 

A suspended sentence is similar to a deferred sentence because it gives the defendant a chance to serve probation instead of going to prison. But the terms are not interchangeable
