I am scheduled to go to Elizabeth NJ to get my biometrics done. The letter says no cell phones are allowed.

However I read some forum postings which said people take phones but switch them off. I don't have a car and will be taking public transport to the center and going straight back to the office.

Has anyone been specifically to Elizabeth NJ recently and can tell if they allow cell phones as long as they are switched off?

Thanks

I was there 2 months ago, you can have your phone with you, but after you submit your documents you will not be able to use your phone as it is not allowed while you wait for your fingerprints to been taken. No one checked on us if we had our phones with us back then. Even though we had an appointment for 10 30 the whole thing took around 1 and a half hours due to long lines.
