I'm currently trying to prepare a translation of our Japanese marriage certificate for the i-130 application. We currently only have the "smaller" A-4 size marriage certificate and I was going to use the translation template available halfway down this page on the Japan US embassy website (https://jp.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/marriage/). However one of the blanks on the template is for an "Issue #", but no such numbers actually exist on the A-4-sized certificate we received from our local ward office. Is this going to be a problem? Do you need an issue number? Could I just delete this line from the template and submit a translation without it? We *could* send away for the larger one, but is this necessary?

If anybody here simply submitted a translation of the smaller A4-size marriage certificate (without an issue number)--what happened? Did your i-130 application go through?

Thanks in advance.
