Drivers License Military spouse

Hi everybody!

I have a question and I hope somebody will help me with my dilemma :)

My husband is Active Duty and his Home of Record is Oregon. He is now stationed in DC where we live and where we applied for my GC. I just received my EAD and I would like to get american DL, I know that spouse of military member does not have to change DL when moved with husband to another state but what about people like me? Never had american DL and want to be the same state as my husband?!! We are not going to live here more than 2 years and I would like to have same home state as him so we do not have to care about changing anything in the future. Is there something I can do to get Oregon license even tho I do not live there now? But planning in the future?

Thank you all in advance.

Have a nice day :)

No you have to get driver license where you are now and can change it later. Your current address is in DC so its much easier do the drive license over there. I dont know the rules but here in Texas I had to prove that I live at that address and bring prove.
