Hi everyone - I'm over 21, and am being sponsored under F1B by my mother who is a US Citizen. Last week, I received an e-mail from the NVC stating that I will have an interview scheduled. I did some research and learned about this thing called a "Packet 3", and that I can not book my interview until I send over civil documents. I'm very confused, and here are the questions that I have:

(1) The NVC e-mail I received stated nothing about a "Packet 3". When should I expect this, and why didn't the NVC e-mail make any mention of this?

(2) The e-mail from the NVC states that the NVC will book my appointment. Meanwhile, the Montreal consulate states that I can not book an appointment until they have received Packet 3. I'm confused... ?

(3) I already sent all of my Civil Documents (Birth certificate, police records, etc..) to the NVC. The online version of Packet 3 shows a checklist which lists all of the Civil Documents again. Do I send these documents again (prior to my interview) as part of Packet 3? This seems a little redundant. Am I understanding this correctly??
