Hello everyone,

Let me give you a little background story first:
I moved to the USA in 2006 at the age of 15 with a B1/B2 visa. I was adopted in 2007 by US citizens. At the time of adoption I believe I was still 15, however on my birth certificate the filed date says I was already 16 (not sure if the filed date means the adoption already has been completed and final). Also the date my birth certificate was issued is about 1,5 years later in 2009 and in about 3 months I got my green card at the age of 18. I lived with my adoptive parents till I was 19. My question is, am I already a US citizen though my adoptive parents, which means I would have to file N600 form? Or do I still have to apply for citizenship and fill out the N400?

Any help and advice would be very appreciated!

If you "got your green card at the age of 18" (i.e. the "resident since" date on your card is after you turned 18), then you do not qualify to derive citizenship under INA 320 in any case.

Thank you so much!
