Thank You all. Today I went for my Cr1 Visa Interview in Montreal and was approved. I was not asked any detailed questions, even though I had tonnes of paperwork to prove relationship.

However, i need additional help from all of you. My US B1/B2 Visa originally had my first name listed as "FNU" and Last name as "myrealfirstname lastname" . They put a stamp of cancelled without prejudice right in front of me and told me that my passport will be mailed with the Cr1 visa (551 stamp) soon.

Also, the officer told me that since my Indian passport does not have my last name mentioned and my full name on the Given name section, therefore my Cr1 visa will be issued with "FNU" in my first name.

I requested the officer, to get this corrected, but she said they can only have the same name as on my passport. They told me that I can get it corrected later on.

Once I get my visaa issued with FNU in first name and then the Green Card issued with SSN. How do i get that corrected. What is the process and steps.

Much appreciateed
