I am applying for my wife. My brother is the joint sponsor. Who was making 50,000$ around 2011-2012, but August 2012 he started making around 200,000$ that's when he as a joint sponsor considering he is making enough and I have enough bank balance to show I can support her.

My wife's interview was this morning. Everything went well but the interviewer said to mail the embassy "IRS certified federal tax return of joint sponsor or signed/notarized copy why they are not required to pay taxes" " and then the interviewer wrote "2011" on it. My wife had a copy of that, and I have sent the same copy to NVC. I submitted the same copy for myself.

Any ideas what am I missing? From what I have heard getting a "IRS certified tax return " takes from 2 weeks to 2 months. I Am just confused in what they are asking, as I have already submitted my brothers and my 2011 Tax return copy (both are in the same format)

thanks everyone, appreciate it.
