yes i understand both go through security screening, my question is since the i-130 got approved without any further administrative reviews, can't the k-3 go through likewise. I'm trying to figure out why the K-3 is taking so long to get approved than the I-130.

As these are totaly different petitions processed at different places, your I-130 was approved without an hitch, that dosent mean that your K3 couldnt be slowed down for administrative reviews!!!.............or it just could be that the I-129f for K3 is much slower these days!!!

Im in the same boat angelic, but I dont have either application approved. I just know that they sent a letter saying that my I129 needed futher review to wait for 6 more months. So Im hoping that at least my I130 is ok since we have not gotten any letter or any thing. Still our I-130 was never touched since the noa1 except for a change of address. I just want to have some type of good news soon. Best wishes so that every thing works out for you. (F)

I wish i could get a feedback just like the response you got on your case. i tried getting a feedback through senators and congressmans. The only response is" your case is still within processing timeframe of 6 month", we are processing application with receipt date of may 02. I sent an expedite request to lee summit no response, "due my wife's life in danger". she was robbed at gun point on her way from work one evening. The place where she work's is the hotbed for kidnappers and militants fighting against govt security forces, The customer service rep keeps giving wrong conflicting informations about where to channel my request. it is really a frustrating affairs. the other petition that they approved is of no use because, it takes almost a whole year after case completion at NVC FOR U.S. EMBASSY in lagos to get an interview date. i have a friend whose case was completed as far as april 2006 she didn't get interview for CR1 visa until Nov 27, can you imagine that after several frantic mails to NVC before they finally forwarding the case to lagos. This process really put relationships into serious predicament, strain and stress. She almost ran mad, 7months of waiting after spending over $1000 on logistics that you think will hasten the process.
