I started worrying lately upon reading that other applicants were denied because the petitioner's parent signed the affidavit of support for them. My boyfriend (petitioner) lost his for job for 5 yrs lately, he has been looking for a new job but cant and now plans to go back to school . Because of that he asked his father if he can sign the affidavit of support for him. are we gonna be denied too..?whats the best way? help....

Even though your fiance doesn't make enough money to pass the poverty line, he still needs to sign the affidavit of support. And you are applying for K-1 visa, so you need to find out if your area allows co-sponsor for your fiance or not. Some countries don't allow that. But your fiance basically doesn't have any income or tax return in the last five years which is not making your application a better and stronger case.

he only lost his job 6 months ago.he has tax returns for the last five years...

I am from the Philippines but im working in Hongkong right now..are we allowed to co-sponsors? thank you...
