Banco Popular Fee

Hi, my girlfriend received packet 4 for K1 visa and the only banco popular fee it mentions is for $15.

I read the following guide:

It states the following: Banco Popular Fee: $160us + $15us (processing fee) (2 separate receipts)

Then on the embassy site:

It states the following:

take this sheet to any Banco Popular branch in the Dominican Republic to pay the non-fundable visa application fee of the equivalent of US$140.00 in Dominican pesos and an additional non-refundable fee of US$15.00 (the equivalent in Dominican pesos) plus applicable taxes per applicant.

First of all, is it normal for packet 4 not to have instructions on paying the $140 banco popular fee? and which one is it, $160 or $140.

Any help will be appreciated.

The Embassy's website is not updated on that "page". On the bottom it says last updated May 2010.

These fees change all the time, so I know it can be confusing.

The current fee for the K1 visa is $240 as of April 2012

The good thing is the price was decreased. So now you just pay

Banco Popular Fee: $160us + $15us (processing fee) (2 separate receipts)

Day of Interview @ the Embassy: $80us

So it's $240 for Visa + $15 processing fee.
