HI,

I petitioned for my biological son when I was green card holder. My son is only 18 months old. I recently became a US citizen and sent request to upgrade of petition from F2A to Immediate Family. I got an email from NVC indicating that my case has been upgraded to CR2 category. I believe my case should be in IR2 category since I am the biological father for my son. Should I request NVC to change the case category from CR2 to IR2? Or does it really matter?

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated!
