Hi all!

I called the US Embassy in London today to pay my MRV fee and they couldn't find my visa file from my case number or my full name!!!!!

Even though I received packet 3 from them at the beginning of November, they don't seem to have a record of it!

The lady on the phone told me this sometimes happens and for me to email the embassy which I have done. (She did take my $350 MRV fee anyway).

Has anyone else gone through this?????? Should I be worried?!

Thanks in advance!!

They couldn't find your file, but still took your money!

Some people at the Embassy don't seem to know their a#s from their elbow at times. Give DOS a call and see if they have it in their system as being logged at the Embassy.

Well the US embassy emailed me back really fast and said my case no. was on file, and that my medical was logged, just not my packet 3 yet (which i sent next day delivery on the 22nd of Nov) and that it can take up to 3 weeks for all docs sent my mail to load onto the system.

and regarding my initial call to the embassy, they said it just takes a while for all the info to load onto the system that the people on the phone are using. And yes they did take my money money money! But I got a receipt emailed to me about 5 second later and the payment is valid for 12 months so its all ok.

PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!! and thank you!
