Hi here

Im not too sure where to put this post so, mods if you are watching, please move it to the correct place thanks.

Ok so heres the story, such as it is. At the moment we have been approved by USCIS and it is in transit to NVC and me (moment to say YAY). What i would like advice on is the following.... our situation has changed slightly in that there is a small possiblity that she may well have to come over here and live with me for a while. What the heck should we do?

Do we:

a) Use the K1 visa and have me fly over and get married over there and them come back after a couple of weeks as husband and wife?

B) Ignore the K1 and fly her over on the correct visa to get married here?

c) Get the correct visa for her to fly over and get married here in the UK?

And finally just to complicate matters how about her wonderful, and lively and lovely little girl... when is the best time to bring her over?

Thanks for reading this small problem... any help and websites would be great

Thanks again

If you come over and get married on a K-1, you have to AOS to stay here. And that requires you staying here and not leaving the country unless you have AP. If you're just gonna come over to marry & then leave, well you don't need a K-1 for that. But to come back over you'd need a K-3 or CR-1 or DCF (tho I don't know if you can DCF from London)...the K-1 is useless for a married couple.

But how long is 'a while'? You have 6 mos to use the K-1...so theoretically, she could come over and stay with you for that length of time on the Brti VWP. As far as the child, I'm not so sure how easy that would be taking her out of school, etc if it was only a temporary thing.

Or if you're going to stay in the UK with your honey, then you'd need visas for her and her child. I'm told it's not that hard the other way round. I believe uk-yankee can help you with British visas.

Good luck
