Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I was here (almost 2 years in fact!), I'm coming up to the removal of conditions date and am starting to get my evidence together. We have plenty of financial stuff, joint tax returns, joint bank statements, life insurance with spouse as beneficiary, utility bills etc. What we don't have is anything 'big' like the house or the car as my credit was the one we used when purchasing these things (spouse in credit blackhole). The question is will this look a bit fishy, if we don't submit some evidence of living together with both names on the documents? Should I write something to that effect on the cover letter?

Applying for Citizenship

17th January 2012 Sent in N-400 application

24th January 2012 Received conformation e-mail from USCIS

25th January 2012 Cheque cashed

13th February 2012 Biometrics appointment

5th March 2012 Received e-mail I am in line for interview scheduling

8th March 2012 Received letter for interview

12th April 2012 Interview date-approved

10th May 2012 Oath ceremony

As long as you are paying taxes, and show joint accounts, then you have satisfied most of their demands. Not owning a house together or in fact not having 'big' financial commitments is not a huge deal, but it is good if you disclose this information in a cover letter and explain why certain things are not joint. They should be able to understand the situation.

10/20/11 .. Received text/email: Oath scheduled

10/22/11 .. Received OATH letter

11/09/11 .. Oath ceremony
