Hey all My faince and I are right at the tail end of the K1 visa process, we've been using this site throughout the whole process but never posted, so hey!!!!

I remember reading somewhere that there was the fee you pay for the interview before and ALSO a $200 fee on the day of the interview (ohh and the courier fee).

I now can't find anything about the $200 on the day fee, did I dream it? So help please? What exact fees are there to cover the Final interview and issuance?

Thanks for all the tips and hints on this site, from the site itself and it's members. I'm nervous as hell about the interview (And about the flight, I hate flying), but we always seemed to have been blessed so fingers crossed!!

Hi, don't be nervous!

Right, well you pay the $170 initial processing fee - that would have been sent with your 129F/petition.

Then you have your medical fees- those are separate.

Once you get packet four it will have a pay slip. You'll take that to the bank and pay it there, they will then fill out the slip, your receipt - HANG ON TO THIS! That's the $200 or so before hand and you'll take your receipt to show that you paid it. That's paid before the interview date.

Once you get to the interview the only actually currency you'll be spending is for the courier fee.

Good luck!

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!
